Just too Short

What made the experience of listening to Liam Takes Manhattan the most enjoyable?

I love Liam as a character and have enjoyed listening to all his stories, unfortunately this one just left the reader hanging.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed seeing this character begin to grow into a young man.

What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?

Enjoyable listen.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but it was to short.

Any additional comments?

This was just to short (less a novella and more a teaser). Honestly for a $4.86 price I would have liked to have more of a story. At the length this should have been a freebie or a $.99 buy.

Fun short about Liam!

I've loved all of Thea's short stories. This was a nice fun one about Liam and a peek into his life.

Liam grows up

In the aftermath of tragedy, Liam has another massive growth spurt that takes him into young adulthood. This leaves him at a crossroads trying to figure out his next steps and find his place in the world. A conversation with a trusted friend brings direction, and a visit from a mysterious stranger brings love into Liam’s life. As always, Harrison’s writing is excellent.
Eastlake does a decent job of narration.
Recommend.

Wish growing up was that easy.

Would you consider the audio edition of Liam Takes Manhattan to be better than the print version?

I've given up reading books when I can listen to them instead. That way I can do two things at once.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Liam Takes Manhattan?

I think one of the most memorable moments was when Liam was all prepared for another fight with his dad and what he got was "all right" when Dragos heard the reasoning. Isn't that just typical between teens and their parents?

What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?

Sophie's one of the best I've ever heard. I think I like her range in voices and accents the best.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This book reminded me so much of so many moments in my own life that every stressful moment brought tears.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait to find out how Rika's going to play a part in Liam's life and what was that woman up to???

Great opening for so much more !*spoilers*

I love the Elder Races series and I am extremely curious to see Liam in college with Rica! Also, looking forward to meet "stinky pot" and Constantine ! The novellas are great links to the full books! Way to go Thea!

Liam is growing up!

Liam's stories are always funny and heart warming. Liam is growing up and Dragos and Pia have raised a good boy! I can't wait to see what Thea has "in store" for him. He is a combination of adventurous and brave and I see good things ahead. Sophie's narration as always is perfection!
