About this listen

Oakley Hutton, the hockey prodigy. The guy ready to grab the sports world by the balls and finally live his dream.

Octavia Layton, the girl unable to move beyond her broken past, fearful of her childhood betrayal following her through her new adult life.

Two polar opposites with only one thing in common. Their inability to stay away from each other.

Two people pushing the other in ways they've never experienced, forcing them out of their comfort zones and making them forget how different they really are after all.

A nice story

This is a nice story. I really like Oakley and Ava is great however, I feel like the ending wasn’t quite a cliffhanger, but it was just kind of blah. I also made the mistake of reading her greatest mistake first and then reading this so it’s kind of weirdto jump back in time and see Maddox parents story. However, the story was great. There was a little bit of drama. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t like knock me off my feet great but I will read and listen to the rest of the series because I’m invested.

Good

I liked the meet cute in the beginning and enjoyed the story. nothing crazy memorable to stick out from other hockey romances. The narrators both had a very youthful sound that made some parts difficult to listen to. I'd recommend the book as it was enjoyable but not one to stop what you're doing and listen to this now.
