About this listen

It took Ava 40 years to discover her identity. It took the Council 10 minutes to decide she was a threat.

I've survived my 40s long enough to discover I'm cursed. Figuring out how to break the curse is a whole other problem.

My arrival in Aradia set off a series of unexplainable events - the veil breaking down, ghosts arriving by the shipload, and Aurick becoming...beautiful? Now, the dying god has finally started dying, and everyone fears his rebirth.

Fortunately, I have my newfound powers and my Siren Squad to help me. Only, I have no idea how to actually use my powers, and the Council arrested me on sight.

At least I don't have time to think about my ex or to wallow in my misery. In fact, getting divorced at the age of 40 doesn't seem so hard anymore.

There's nothing like an angry archon hell-bent on global destruction to give me a little perspective.

Absolutely Awesome 😀

I really enjoyed this book. I finished book one as well. It's fun, magical, and whimsical 🌻 my type of books.

Italian Magic!?!?!

This is book 2 of the series. Highly recommend reading book 1 first to better understand the story. Ava finds out she has magic and try’s to learn more on where it has come from and why it took her to being in her 40’s to find out she has it. People (Magic Governing) take her to try to determine her origin and place her on house arrest (at her home back in St Louis with her ex and his new girlfriend) until the Counsel makes a decision on what to do with her. And of course, drama happens when she ends up back home. After released, she sets out with her newly made Italian friends to seek those that are altering the magic of their Italian island and are after her. (But she does not know why) Good story. Kept me interested but felt there was just too much talked about giving details of multiple past lifes she has lived. Narrator does a very good job with various characters and her Italian accent! Waiting for book 3.

Obligation to finish?

Cause it was already paid for? I'm not exactly sure why I finished both books in this series. the story COULD of been interesting, except for all the skipping around. .

The narrator did, I think, the best she could with the story she was given to read. I wouldn't count her out as a choice again based on this performance.

I didn't care for it at all. Only one persons opinion. For me.. big NOPE!!

Thanks anyways. Kaye
