Publisher's summary

Darcy Silver has everything money can buy except for a way to erase the past. A tragic car accident has left her temporarily dependent on others for even the most basic of needs—but everyone she cares about seems to have abandoned her.

Dr. Andrea Trapani would like to forget the past too. Being a full-time medical caretaker for a cantankerous woman is not where she expected her career to take her. But when Andrea sees that Darcy's frustration will have serious medical consequences, she vows to bring peace and stability to Darcy's world.

As two wounded souls fight to overcome their past and face the fears of the future, will love be the right medicine?

Evil devil, shameless flirt, recluse, social butterfly, fear of intimacy, ardent love making, angst and satisfaction!

Yes, everything you could imagine in a sapphic romance is here and all in ONE book! There are too many layers to count in the characters of this surprisingly witty and intense romance! It’s definitely not a rehash of a similar plot. It’s a unique and wonderful story! I took off one point for the character’s unwillingness to communicate clearly and this being a big obstacle for moving the romance along. This is an often used trope in sapphic romance, but still done well, given its limitations.

Don’t be put off by the description of the story line. There are plenty of laughs, tears of joy and a village of supportive friends and family. Most of all, there is hope, the balm of our existence! Having said that, if you could be triggered due to a bad accident or alcohol/drug issues, check yourself and ask for help if you need it. This story is also written in a way that could be very helpful and healing for anyone who has experienced those challenges as a person, caregiver or friend!

These are two characters who are not what you think they are and I love the unveiling of their truths and the desire to love and be loved that gives them ability to conquer their greatest fears! I want to encourage this writer to WRITE MORE! You have a gift. If you have something to say- keep going! I also want to acknowledge the narrator, who did a wonderful job on this book. How do you narrate a story with so many female voices? It’s not easy but thankfully I was able to keep up due to her skill!

Overall, I would recommend this book and I hope you enjoy its beauty and wisdom as much as I did!

Hard To Listen To

Only about 3 hours in and I want to launch my phone with this audible on it. The injured character is so repulsive and a brat that it's really hard to get into feeling sorry for her and wanting to see where it goes. That, and how fast things progressed between the two. Going from the author's mysteries where the characters and story were developed well from the get go to these two lacking MCs? I'll try to power through it then come back to edit this, maybe.

I absolutely love this story

This story, from beginning to end, kept very intrigued. I couldn't stop listening to this book. I love the whole storyline and the characters. The narrator was perfect for this story.

Well……

Definitely not as tightly woven, or as richly descriptive as other works from this author. The MC’s are rather one dimensional. My biggest peeve with this story is the Dr. tending to the intimate needs of her patient, and reminding the patient and herself that caring for these types of needs are nothing sexual in nature. What? What dr thinks they have to say that unless, that’s exactly what they’re thinking!
As the romance blossoms from these types of medical dynamics, i felt as if I was reading a “me too” book, but neither character realizing how wrong and inappropriate this was.
Instead of this one , read the Chiara Corelli series by this author. Those four books are extraordinary!

Not Even So-So

Darcy is reprehensible. It is almost like she has multiple personalities. She is very childish. Andrea comes across as a doormat and too soft.

The story is unbelievable.

Painful

I hated the MC. She was such a pig and incredibly immature. I found it unrealistic as well as unbelievable that the doctor would fall for her. I forced myself to finish the book. It was well written and the narration was tolerable, and the story even had intermittent interesting bits woven in throughout. However, overall I found myself angry and rolling my eyes. Frustratingly, it could have been so much better!!!
I typically like this author and this icky book won’t keep me from purchasing others by her, but I wouldn’t recommend this one!

Narrator is bad and the story line

Bad story line, it’s as if the author wrote a book for the sake of saying she did. I want a refund
