Good guide
I started this book at 35 weeks. Did the meditations and affirmations daily and listened through the book twice. I had a beautiful birth. It was not pain free but I had a different perspective on the pain (this is my fifth baby) and felt more in control.

If you only read one book while pregnant, READ THIS ONE
This is such a beautifully written book and the author did a wonderful job narrating. Listening to the entire book was as relaxing as the hypnobirthing tracks. She gives you great tools in order to stay calm during your pregnancy and birth.

an AMAZING book to mentally prepare for labor
first of all Sophie fletchers voice is so amazing it makes the book a dream to listen to. This book briefly goes over some options you have during pregnancy and labor and really dives into preparing your mind to stay calm. great for all kinds of births. even my husband listened to the whole thing and he said he'd like to reread ot again!

Successfully used to deliver my baby naturally!
The techniques and information in this book helped me prepare and have a successful, quick labor and delivery of my second child. I would highly recommend this book and hypnobirthing preparations in general. I found having an audio book most helpful as my toddler prevents me from sitting down to read. helpful, well rounded
I love how she used both hypnobirthing and mindfulness. I knew I wanted to do something with hypnobirthing but some of the stuff out there, you can't share bad birthing stories and you van say certain words like contraction, really threw me off. This is a wonderful and well explained book that includes both mindful practice AND hypnobirthing. n.v

Home birth!
I listened to this starting in my first trimester I went through and saved all the hypno tracks after listening and would listen to it as I fell asleep every night! I was so worried I would be scared during child birth! This literally made me not scared at all! It was my first birth and I literally wasn’t scared! I was so calm! I already knew what to do!!! ❤️ I’m so thankful for this book! I spent some time in the birthing pool when the pains got really hard listening to the hypno tracks!! Best decision I ever made listening to this book!

Excellent for taking charge of your birth
I used this for the birth of my third child, after two hospital births. The second was the classic example of how interventions cascade into something that isn't good for the baby. I had always WANTED a natural birth, but never understood just how much work and preparation needs to happen in the mind and body of the pregnant mother BEFORE the birth. All everyone said about birth was, don't worry about it until you get there. The doctor will take care of it. NO. NO. NO!
If you want the birthing process to be a wonderful experience, YOU need to actively make that happen throughout your pregnancy. Educate yourself on as much as possible, and practice practice PRACTICE! Sophie Fletcher's book was great for learning how to instantly relax, and how to manage the sensations of the birthing process in that relaxed state.
With her guidance in this book, I was able to make it to transition with little/no discomfort and things progressed quickly. The BEST part about this book is that you can use these principles no matter where or how you birth. It's about training your mind and body to relax, which is essential for birth regardless of the place. It also helps you learn to stay calm when changes to birth plans may need to happen. I just can't say enough good things about this book.

Love this book
I used this audiobook for both pregnancies, it was amazing for my first, it gave me the knowledge and confidence to have an amazing home water birth and I used the 30min meditation track on repeat throughout my labour. During my second pregnancy it reinforced and reassured me to have the correct mindset that I could absolutely have another great labour and to trust my body. My midwife was blown away by my births, she said I was one of the few to have such a positive experience, and honestly I found this book to be one of the core reasons why my births were so relaxed. I recommend it to all pregnant woman I meet and I thank Sophie Fletcher for developing such a wonderful book.
