About this listen

Some farmers grow corn. Some grow grain. He grows monsters.

Erron plans to retire from adventuring to a little farm and live out his days raising crops in peace.

Little did he know that fate had other plans for him.

When he purchases cropland of his own, he finds that the things he places in the soil don't become plants.

They become monsters.

With this new revelation comes a new purpose. The life of a farmer just got a whole lot more interesting.

Don't miss the start of this new LitRPG series from best seller DB King. If Erron is to defend his farm, he'll have to master the art of growing monsters in this series where the monster-training elements of Pokémon and Monster Rancher meet DnD-esque fantasy adventure.

Exelent start to a series with a likable MC and interesting system. The title is a bit misleading and the description could be a bit better but the book still ended up being intertaining. Some reviews complains about the murder hobo actions of the MC but as a dungeon master of dozens of groups over the years i can say its not that bad. people complain about stories were the MC actis like a psychopath but when given a character in a game they spend half the time uustify8ng why they killed that guard and robbed that store. LITRPG ( literary role playing game ) is basically just a dnd or other similar game in book form so if you don't want to read murder hobo your probably going to be disappointed a lot. Looking forward to book 2.

Great first book

Great story and the best part? A MC that is not a idiot. Thank you for the Litrpg style has needed a series without a childlike complaining MC
Highly recommended and I have over 450 books listened to, so I know what I like.

Need book 2

Good story, sometimes funny. I wish the 2nd book was on audible. Kind of a WTF

Good fantasy

just about everything that is wrong with the litRPG fad. psychopath MC? check. Randomly killing characters for cheap drama? check. So many other issues.

Not good

This reads like a teenager's expectation of what the world should be like. Almost no forethought, dark and brooding MC, hidden backstory(even from himself), and a potential harem of women that the main character sees as "just friends". It's difficult to read this book as anything other than a YA-fantasy.

The narrator is either decently bad at their job or did their best with a terrible script. I almost never give narrators less than 4 stars, so giving them a 2 was hard for me.

This genre is saturated with YA stories and the author might do well in it. But that is also why certain authors that are able to write a more mature story have done so well.

I expected better

I loved who big a deal they made necromancers and then turn the main character into one, also how much he cares about his feinds melts my heart. I can't wait to listen to the next one.

the world building it was like watching a movie with my ears

The premise is good. but the title description is misleading. Where are the monster plants?

The title description is misleading

It's the case where the story works but at the same time it doesn't we could deal with decromancy we get to deal with building a farm dealing with the people around him and the politics to set up for the entire series and should be good but at times it's just make sure you want to skip ahead when it comes to some of the fight scenes So intricately describe that it turns you off because you want more of all the other stuff because they're so

Stronger story is needed
