Ok the books are getting better.

The books still give off the young teenage vibe. But the story lines and the action are getting much better.

One of my Favorites

I like the series and hope the author continue to develop the characters. This book is a good example of the genre.

love the references

across the series I love how he references different books and pop culture. The Drew Hayes references was awesome this book.

Excellent

This is an excellent story, and this book was on par with the ones that came before. The MC is still that odd combination of being willfully innocent without being nebbish. The many other characters introduced in last couple books have done an excellent job of opening the world. Very much look forward to next in series.

Terrible Narrator

Basically the headline. The narrator has no range, he constantly uses "voices" for the wrong characters, if you can even call them different voices. He also stays using the exact same inflections and tone no matter what is happening so many times there are sections where you could just take a word or sentence from a happy moment then copy/paste with the same words from a tense situation and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Also not for nothing but what is the point of Jamila, she's supposed to be equal to vaiya in the love interest spectrum and yet the author relegated her to another team that never gets seen and she is never with our MC

Ok MC really needs to stop it with the helping everyone thing at this point it’s just weird as heck.

How does MC meet people then instantly consider them friends? It is extremely unrealistic and weird. Is he planning on leading all of them into a trap and killing them? No one helps people that much for nothing in return.
