Publisher's summary

Mrs. D is an alcoholic, albeit a very nice, respectable, articulate, and groomed alcoholic.

This is an honest, upfront, relatable account of one suburban housewife's journey from miserable wine-soaked boozer to self-respecting sober lady.

This audiobook is an inspirational tale of self-transformation, addiction, and domesticity. This audiobook lays out the entirely unexpected solo journey Mrs. D took in the first year of her sobriety and reveals the incredible online support that came through on her confessional blog, a blog intended to be a private online diary but turned into something else quite remarkable.

Absolutely the BEST

I am a problem drinker myself. Bourbon is my demon…
I have listened to many things, some helpful, but this is probably the most accurate of reading of your feelings that I’ve heard yet. I am on a journey, myself, not hardly a month sober, but this is definitely inspiration. Thank you. Sincerely, for writing this great work.🎈

Great start ....

But the second half of the book is waaaay too much reading complementary comments from the blog. Now had they been constructive criticism or asking advice, great but the majority were just saying how great the blog was. One or two, fine but it was a few at a time. As quit lit it's definitely worth getting but the first half is the best

Very helpful

I’m the same type of alcoholic as the author. AA meetings are great but I sometimes feel like I’m not the same type of drinker as everyone else in the AA meetings. This helped clarify a lot.

Very important writing

I loved the practical wisdom. I did not like the foul language. I have worked hard to clean up both my use of foul language amongst other bad habits. So while helping me with the one, she was contaminating me… lol. But I will try to say that in spite of the offensive language the book is a must read.

Loved it <3

This is my favorite sobriety book so far. I’ve read other ones but couldn’t relate because I’m not out at clubs until 2am and many get bogged down in all the science. It’s not my rational brain that needs convincing about how bad alcohol is for you. This was definitely memorable and I could relate to it. Congratulations Mrs. D you did it!

Very Enjoyable

I couldn't put it down. It was a joy to listen to. As a fellow boozy housewife, I related to Lotta Dann so much it was incredible. I enjoyed her writing style and the layout of the book as well. This book inspires me to stay sober and that everything is going to be okay. Also, the reader, Cat Gould, really helped the book to come alive.
