Jail Should Be Forever

When a pair of jailbirds with a personal grudge against Sabrina and David escape, the pair go to work to track them down and make sure they get their just desserts.
This one's a cute, not too heavy detective mystery with good pacing and engaging characters - short and easy on the ears (or eyes if you're reading the print version) and perfect for those days when you don't want a dark murder mystery or a scary suspense story.

Great Read

Murder and Chocolate Cake (Mysteries of Treasure Cove #2) by Meredith Potts was another great read by the author. Sabrina is an amateur Sleuth who is looking for a killer who escaped prison, unfortunately the killer is someone that Sabrina helped put in jail. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by Meredith Potts.

My favorite of the series!

This series is a continuation of the “Daley Buzz Series,” although you can read this on its own without having read the prequel because it does an excellent job of explaining any missing details. I’ve listened to the Daley Buzz series, so I especially enjoyed this because we get to see Sabrina & David grown up with a family.
This book was my absolute favorite in the series, mostly because it had so many exciting plot lines. 2 prisoners who Sabrina & David put behind bars have escaped, and everyone’s life is in danger. What ensues is a man hunt that left me on the edge of the seat, waiting for the ex prisoners to pop up at any moment. It’s an enjoyable cozy with plenty of excitement!

A departure in plot for Sabrina and David.........

Murder and Chocolate Cake still features the two main sleuths of this series, Sabrina and her policy detective husband. However, the overall plot of this book was different from the usual in that Sabrina and David knew the guilty party from page one. Rather than trying to solve a murder, Sabrina and David were searching for the whereabouts of two escaped convicts. Both of these murderers were convicted thanks to the efforts of Treasure Cove's crime fighting duo, giving Sabrina and David extra incentive to get them back to prison ASAP. For long-time readers of this series, it was interesting to see some of the suspects from previous cases return as possible accomplices to the prison escape. To those new to the series, it is easy to follow the plot without any of the background. Once again, Potts perfectly blends mystery and character drama for an enjoyable cozy mystery read.

Carrie Burgess is a the narrator for all of the books featuring David and Sabrina, and she is truly the voice of Treasure Cove. She has a very pleasant voice and a smooth delivery. I hope that Potts and Burgess keep producing more audiobooks in this fun series.

Book 2 of Murder and chocolate cake

I originally thought that I was not going to like it but it was actually okay. However, this is not my normal type of book in many ways. I just didn’t like the narration for the most part. In addition, it’s a good story and definitely a good book for some but it just didn't have enough believe factor in it for me. I just wished the characters were more in many ways
I just felt bored and I hate saying this I really do. Maybe if the narrator and the producer could have made the story come alive more, its lacking the grasping of the readers listeners attention.
If a better recording team can take over or even a better narrator and maybe try bringing in some points to keep the readers attention especially during chapters 1- 5.
Regardless I enjoyed that the character known as Sabrina and the way we see how her past self has done things that comes back to knock her off her butt and that in itself is enough to bunker down to listen and enjoy. It’s a nice fun series 

Oh, danger really close to home!

This story feels more thrilling because this time is personal. The two most violent murderers that David and Sabrina have previously incarcerated have escaped from prison, and one of them is the man that murdered Sabrina's sister. I love how the first thing they do is send everybody in their family well far away, to keep them as safe as possible :)

This is yet another wonderful book by Meredith Potts, and a must for lovers of the genre.

The narration was really good, although for some reason, this time I didn't love it.

Fun cozy mystery!

This is the 2nd book in the Mysteries of Treasure Cove series, yet it stands alone. This time Sabrina's past comes back to haunt her when a killer, who she put in jail, breaks out of prison. Sabrina and David fear for their safety and that of the family when they discover that the killer is looking for revenge! This is a fun and enjoyable cozy. I am looking to read the rest of the series. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
