Volume 3 changed everything for me. Up to this point, Rudy’s journey felt like growth in a safe zone—learning magic, tutoring Eris, building relationships. But when that teleportation disaster happened? It threw me as hard as it threw him.

Suddenly, Rudy and Eris are on their own, no backup, no teachers, and no clue where they are. It’s a terrifying shift, and I felt that. I could relate to the panic, the uncertainty—and that moment when you realize, no one’s coming to save you.

Ruijerd’s introduction gave me chills. Everything we’ve been told says he’s a monster, but what we see is a man burdened by a tragic legacy. His sense of honor and loyalty made me respect him immediately. Honestly, he might be one of my favorite characters now—and I didn’t expect that at all.

Eris grew on me here too. She’s still wild, but when push comes to shove, she shows real strength—and not just in battle. Her loyalty to Rudy, even when things get dangerous, felt earned and emotional. Their little campfire moments hit me in the chest.

Cliff Kirk's narration once again pulls it all together. His tone for Ruijerd is perfect—like a battle-worn knight who’s done being misunderstood. And Rudy’s internal monologue? Still awkward, still honest, still totally relatable.

For me, this is the volume where Mushoku Tensei leveled up. It stopped being a story about second chances and started being a journey I didn’t want to end. This one isn’t just an adventure—it’s a trial by fire that tests everything Rudy’s learned so far.
