Good story so far, MC with an actually unique ability. not another "back in time" or "oh look, im an OP summoner". I feel like the MC could be more efficient, visiting other dungeons even if he can't finish them would probably be a good idea. Other than the MC being somewhat annoying sometimes, it's looking pretty interesting. MC is Hella dense tho

Pretty good so far..

Pretty enjoyable simple listen.

I was very irritated hearing the narrator say level, but then switch to “L.V.” when the obligatory stats dumps would happen. Not sure who decided to be so literal with the reading, but it was very distracting and noticeable. Hopefully this isn’t an issue going forward.

L.V.?

Very good ideas that flow into a well thoutabout plot and we can't forget about voice actor! Can't wait to see where the path leads.

pretty darn good

The Good: Short but sweet. Fast paced, easy listen, no thinking required if you just suspend your disbelief. Familiar premise and character types that any anime enjoyer will recognize and accept.

The Bad: Middle schooler syndrome characters, over-the-top angry dialogue with overacted narration.

It is what it is.

MC is likeable. Not a buch of complex plot devices. Nice world straight forward with action. Recommended.

Good world building, Easy Listen.

First, I want to say that the narrator needs to stop saying "LV" and say "level". My single biggest issue with the audiobook is that. Otherwise, the narrator neither adds nor subtracts from the story, which is, sadly, probably above average for light novel narrators (at least, those that aren't anime voice actors).

Ok, that said, I am on the fence about continuing this one. It's extremely generic, which isn't a death sentence by any means. The main character isn't that interesting, nor is his unique ability. Once we got past the intro and he started leveling, it got a lot more interesting. The best part about the book to me was his interactions with other people, and if the next book doesn't have a lot more of that, or else some significantly more interesting story beats, I probably won't finish it.

Edit: It turns out the first 2 books are, essentially a prologue. Book 3 is far more interesting, so it might be worth continuing if you're on the fence...except, it seems unlikely there will be more any time soon. The 3rd light novel came out in 2023, and if I'm reading this right, the author has written only the equivalent of half a book in the past 4 years, instead starting a handful of other series and focusing on them.

Pretty decent

me: mom I want solo leveling
mom: we have solo leveling at home
solo leveling at home: World's Fastest Level-up

its basically solo leveling but others can level up too the MC can just do it faster. He also has zero awareness of female characters interest in him. Otherwise, if you liked solo leveling and want an extremely similar story this is for you.

solo leveling at home

honestly the story it's at it's best when the mc I just going dungeon to dungeon leveling up because the rest is just him being the cliche and boring dense anime protagonist

good one

Love the main character's perspective, writing style and dash of "slice of life" factors added into the story itsself. fantastic listen
