Publisher's summary

There are three things you should know about Quinn Sullivan:

1) He is madly in love with Janie Morris

2) He's not above playing dirty to get what (or who) he wants

3) He doesn't know how to knit.

After just five months of dating Janie, Quinn - former Wendell and unapologetic autocrat - is ready to propose marriage. In fact he's more than ready. If it were up to Quinn, he would efficiently propose, marry, and beget Janie with child all in the same day - thereby avoiding the drama and angst that accompanies the four stages of prematrimony: engagement; meeting the parents; bachelor/bachelorette party; and overblown, superfluous wedding day traditions. But Janie, much to Quinn's dismay, tosses a wrench in his efficacious endeavors and challenges him to prove his devotion by going through the matrimonial motions, no matter how minute and mundane.

Will Quinn last until the wedding day? Or will he yield to his tyrant impulses?

Regardless, one thing is for certain: Quinn Sullivan will have to learn to expect the Spanish Inquisition (i.e., the unexpected) if he plans to have and keep Janie Morris as his wife.

You must listen to Neanderthal Seeks Human first before listening to this book.

This book is written in first person with alternating POVs (Janie Morris and Quinn Sullivan, but more Janie than Quinn).

Good, but needed something more

What made the experience of listening to Neanderthal Marries Human: A Smarter Romance the most enjoyable?

I loved the characters from the first book, so ready about the next stages in their lives made it enjoyable. Especially to have all of the characters more involved.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Neanderthal Marries Human: A Smarter Romance?

The most memorable part of the book was the bachelorette party and the wedding. The party was funny to listen to the situations and everyone letting loose. The wedding was sweet and it was a nice closer and it sort of felt like Janie found herself a little more.

What about Jennifer Grace and Sebastian York ’s performance did you like?

They both did good. I did not expect York's voice and didn't think it fit for Quinn's voice at all, but he still did a good job at it.

Any additional comments?

There were some points to the book where it just seemed like they were adding fill to make the book longer. I wish there was a little more excitement and some sneaky story going on...but i love action/comedy/romance books.

So Adorably Romantic and Funny!!!

I want to be Janie's New Best Friend! I absolutely adored this story. These two are perfect for each other.
The things that come out of Janie's brain are so absurd but logical in the moment. The romance is hot and crazy.
I loved it!

Enjoyed the second book

I thoroughly enjoyed the followup book. I wish they kept the narrator to be just Jennifer Grace. I was used to it being narrated by just her and adding in the male changed it. To me he didn't fit the characters voice but that's my opinion.

LOVED IT!

So great in audio form.
Both nararrators where awesome. Janie really came to life and Quinn, well I have one complaint for Quinn.... There was not enough chapters from his point of view! Quinns narration was awesome and for me brought a perfect reflection of how Quinn adores Janie.
If you enjoy quirky smart romances you can not go wrong with Penny Reid and all the Knitters!

love Janie and Quinn

I can't remember how long ago it was that I first read and loved Neanderthal Marries Human, but this was my first experience listening to the audio version, and it is even funnier in Audio.

Janie and Quinn are favourites of mine in this series, I adore everything about them. The narrators did a fantastic job - one thing I learned from listening to this is that I have been mispronouncing Nico's surname for years, every time I read it in one of the books I would wonder if I was pronouncing it correctly. AND it turns out I was way off.

If you have read and loved this, it is definitely worth the upgrade to get the audiobook.

Nice for a long drive

I love smartly written dialogue and longer complicated books however as much as I love both readers somebody was making them read very slow I had to kick it up to 1.25 and then that was just a little too fast for the emotions... only that was frustrating, the rest was excellent can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series

Enjoyable all the way through.

I laughed so much. This is my ideal of a true love story... seeing and loving a person for who they are. I love this book. It was silly and funny with fun characters. I will be going through all of Penny Reid books now.

Learn how words are pronounced

It’s oxy-TO-sin not oxy-TOXIN, among other problems! Quinn was tolerable in the first book, but in this one he’s just a prick. Not even halfway into the book and I’m done with it.

Loved the first book and loved this one too!

This was a great conclusion to the first book. I really enjoyed gaining insight into the MMC’s psyche. The back and forth between the FMC’s and MMC’s perspectives made it all the more hilarious. Once again the narration was excellent. This book left me smiling and that’s all you can hope for at the end of a really great book. I’m hooked on the whole series now!
