About this listen

She’s His One Weakness—And He’ll Burn the World to Save Her.

Niall Black

Loyal right-hand to Finn O’Reilly. Cousin and trusted friend.

He lives for the life he’s created. Filled with business, both day-to-day and dangerous. Not interested in a relationship of any kind outside of his comfort zone.

Until fate brings her to him. Annabelle Lewis.

She awakens something inside him. A need. A desire.

A new set of feelings he wasn’t prepared for.

When she is taken from him, how far will he go to get her back?

To the ends of the earth.

And anyone in his way will be removed.

Permanently.

The suspenseful finale in The Irishmen duet by New York Times Bestselling author Melanie Moreland.

If you enjoy mafia romance with action, emotion, and a protective hero, Niall is a great pick. This is the intense and heartfelt finale to The Irishmen Duet, following Niall Black, the loyal right-hand to Finn, as he meets Anna and everything in his life begins to shift.

Their connection forms in the middle of chaos but quickly becomes something deeper. Niall is rough around the edges but deeply caring, and Anna’s quiet strength makes her a perfect match for him. I loved how their bond developed with trust, comfort, and emotional growth. Finn’s playful teasing was a fun touch, and Roman's presence added just the right amount of tension.

The suspense keeps the story moving, while the romance gives it warmth and depth. Anna’s friendship with Una was beautiful and added so much heart. The story closes with a sweet and satisfying ending that fans of the duet will love.
Highly recommend reading both books in order to fully enjoy the journey

Niall! My Niall is here!!! I was smitten and in love with him from his first appearance in Finn’s book. And I wasn’t wrong—the man is pure perfection. I love him, oh yes, and he is mine. Melanie knows it. I love how he takes care of Anna. I love how he does everything and anything for her, how he is the sweetest with her and ruthless and grumpy with everyone else. I definitely love him—his possessiveness, protective nature, leadership, love for his mom, and his bond with Finn… again, perfect! His relationship with Finn is pretty amazing; the connection they have it’s like real brothers. The audiobook? Of course I loved it! I’m a John Lane fan forever, and adding that Scottish accent… gosh, it was swoon-worthy. Maxine, as always, did an excellent job. I loved her Scottish accent too. And we can’t forget—I still love Aldo, Roman, and Luca. They are amazing. But I have an important question… can I have Sully’s story too???

My Niall is here!!!

I have been a longtime reader of Melanie Moreland and love all her books. With each of her books, I think they are my favorites. With Niall, just like with Finn before, I am reside to the reality that each book will be my favorite.

Niall is definitely my favorite of the two Irishmen novels, which is saying a lot. Listen to John Lane in the scenes when both Irishmen were speaking was just pure genius! I never got confused as to whose voice I was listening to. Both speaking either their Irish accents, but both distinctive! What a talent! John and Maxine made this experience a greater than I could imagine!

The Irishmen are now my favorites

Niall Niall Niall, what the heck CAN’T I say about Niall. He is Finns right hand man when it comes to the syndicate, and they are as close as brothers. But Niall couldn’t be more different than Finn. Now, you can enjoy this book as a standalone, however it is best read as the full duet with Finn, if you have not read his story yet, proceed with spoiler cautions. While Finn was doing everything and anything he can to prove to Una he can be trusted with her heart, Niall was doing anything and everything he could to push Anna away. From the moment they met in the raid to save Una from her kidnapper, there was an instant connection. Anna wanted Niall around all the time, she felt protected and safe around him. After first she only wanted to be around him or Una all the time, but she slowly started to gain her confidence back and started branching out doing things on her own. While Niall tried to keep her at arms length, she did everything she could to show him he deserved love and that she knows her own mind and her own heart.

OOOOOO BOY!! I thought I loved Finn and then Niall came around and said “hold me ale”. Something about that alpha protector who wants nothing but to keep you safe, but also feels you need to be kept safe from him is so alluring. And the BANTER Between not only Anna and Niall, but also Finn and Niall. The crap Finn gave him about denying his feelings had me with tears in my eyes from laughing. I love when Melanie Moreland gets into her morally gray side because it’s the perfect mix of Spicy, Dark and a pinch of humor in there. I have already devoured this story a few times. And the trifecta of awesomeness is made whole with the outstanding narration by Maxine Mitchell and John Lane. The way John can narrate a conversation between Niall, Finn and Roman (Men of the Falls book 2), all of whom have different accents, so seamlessly is sheer perfection. What can I say about Maxine that has not been said before?? She can bring these characters to life like no other. I can’t give too much away without a major spoiler, but all I am going to say is I hope she reads more psychotic characters in the future because she’s so good at them and gives me CHILLS!!! Anna was such a deep and strong character and there is no one that could have voiced her better, Maxine was perfect.

I would recommend this book in general, but especially if you like morally gray heroes, strong and fierce FMCs, some yummy Spice, and excellent character banter.

Do I have to go to CA or IE to find a Niall??

I could not wait to dive into Niall Black and Annabelle Lewis’s story. It was everything I was expecting and more. Having met both in Finn’s book I was excited to see what Ms. Moreland had in story for Niall and Anna.

This book picks up where Finn’s left off so if you haven’t read Finn, then STOP as these two books need to be read in order.

After rescuing Anna and Una, Anna connected with Niall as she sees in him the n man who saved her. For Niall there is something about Anna that calls to him despite the fact that he doesn’t do relationships.

Anna needs Niall emotionally and physically and he does whatever he needs to do to give her a sense of safety and security.

However fate had other plans for Anna and once again she is put in harms way. It will be up to Niall do everything he can to save her once and for all.

The narration by by Maxine Mitchell and John Lane was brilliant. Their voices are easy to listen to and they did justice to the characters and the story that Ms. Moreland wove. They brought out the passion, danger and emotions that Niall and Anna both went through and I was riveted to their performances.

I don’t normally gravitate to stories where characters are morally grey, but this author’s writing is so compelling that I knew I had to read this duet.

Loved it

John Lane doing a dual Irish accent is so spot on as well as Maxine Mitchell. This one has so many different feels that there’s just not enough words. One of my many Melanie Moreland favorites.

Niall is an irresistibly swoony read that continues the exhilarating journey of The Irishmen Series. After rescuing Anna from her captors, Niall is overwhelmed by a fierce protectiveness—and an undeniable possessiveness—toward the fragile girl who clings to him, trusting him with her safety. Suspense hums at the edges of this gripping romance, keeping me on edge until the very last page.

Anna is a sweetheart, her vulnerability both heartbreaking and endearing. After enduring a traumatic ordeal, she finds solace in Niall's presence, despite having just met him. Niall, convinced that relationships aren't for him, is stunned by the unshakable bond he feels with Anna. Their chemistry ignites instantly, their feelings escalating in a way that’s intense yet deeply tender—the exact balm Anna needs to heal.

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell, as expected, deliver a flawless narration. Their voices breathe life into the characters, capturing every ounce of heat, heart, humor, and tension in the story.

I’m completely captivated by the world the author has crafted—one where strong yet vulnerable women find themselves in the arms of dangerous, fiercely protective men who would burn the world down to keep them safe. Niall is a fast-paced, thrilling read with characters who will leave an imprint on your heart.

Having to wait for the conclusion was hard and I am not very pleased with how this ended. I loved how protective Niall was. Anna provided hope for someone who felt undeserving. Loved it.
