About this listen

The neighbors were afraid of him.
They wanted him gone.
Now he wants revenge.

I never liked the neighbors. My wife, Colleen, liked them. Went to their parties. They tolerated me because of her. After she died, they stopped pretending. I went to trial twice. They always blame the husband. For the record, I didn’t do it. Despite the hung juries, nobody believed me. If I’m bein’ honest, sometimes I pictured my hands around her neck.

Life goes on, whether I’m ready or not. I wasn’t ready for life without her. I was a mess. I didn’t care about the code violations. I should’ve cared, and I should’ve known where the complaints were comin’ from and why. The fees grew by the day, plus interest. After payin’ my lawyers, I was beyond broke.

I was gonna lose my house. Our house. We were married in our backyard. We raised our daughter in that house. I had already lost too much, so I snapped. I wasn’t goin’ down without a fight. They thought I was stupid.

But they underestimated what a man will do with nothin’ to lose.

If you like vigilante justice stories with a side of underdog, you’ll love Nothing to Lose. Buy now to find out how far one man will go for justice.

Saved by BK, Baby Kitty.

Again, this narrator duo present this story to perfection. 5 stars plus for them, too.

How far will one man go for the truth?

What is your breaking point? In Nothing to Lose, Joe might just find out the answer to this question. This story starts right off building on Joe’s state of mind and takes the reader on an in-depth exploration of his journey to finding out who killed his wife. I got the opportunity to listen to a review copy of the audiobook expertly narrated by Tristan Wright. When an excellent story and narrator comes together it makes for excellent entertainment. Based on this experience I’m going to have to explore more of Phil Williams’ stories/books.

Check this author out! You won’t regret it!!!!

This would have made a great full length novel and I wish it had been instead of a novella. That being said, I loved the book. Phil Williams is such a talented author. I think I have all of his books with Cesspool being my favorite. I think this one follows. This author deserves so much more attention. The characters are believable and the plot is plausible.
So the protagonist is Joe. He’s a beaten man. His wife has been murdered and the town blames him. Of course the husband always did it. Unfortunately Joe doesn’t remember.
He befriends a feral cat. The neighbor shoots it. He adopts her two day old orphan kitten.
Joe’s house is in foreclosure. He’s forced to move into a tiny hunting cabin he owns. He decides to have an estate sale and begins cleaning out his home before he looses it. He finds a love letter to his wife. Who wrote it and where were they when his wife was killed? At this point in time he’s lost his home, he’s going to file for bankruptcy and he has Nothing to Lose! He has his theories and now he has plenty of time and determination. He’s going to find who killed his wife and take that person down.
Tristin Wright does an awesome job narrating.
This book has my VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Great Psychological Thriller

I thought this audiobook was fascinating and absorbing. Once I started it, I had to stay with the story until the end. This tale explored some actions a man might take, if he had everything stripped away from him, by those people in power. The author created a character that was morally ambiguous, but also deeply sympathetic. The novella was dark, and some mature themes were expressed, so this story was for more mature audiences. Tristan Wright's, Mia Valyn's, and GraceWright Productions' narrations contributed to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
