About this listen

Running away from my disastrous career to an island off the Florida coast wasn't part of my summer plans, but life hasn't been cooperative lately, anyway. At least here, I can hide away and figure out how to untangle the mess I've gotten myself into.

One thing is certain: my A-list status and title of America's Sweetheart are long gone, and they're probably never coming back. I'll just remain on this island until the worst of it blows over. Until the gossip magazines move on to another juicy topic. Until the paparazzi lose interest.

The problem is, I'm feeling pretty bored and lonely. Sneaking into town and grabbing a book to keep me occupied turns out not to be my best move. Because what I absolutely don't need is Felix Dalton, the man who runs the shop. He's handsome and funny, and I can’t stop thinking about him.

Felix believes that despite the chaos that is my life, I can still have a fun summer, and he's determined to prove it to me.

Maybe, just maybe, this summer could turn out to be a happy one after all.

One Happy Summer is part of the Falling for Summer series, seven interconnected standalones by seven amazing authors that can be enjoyed in any order.

Such a great addition to the series!

I’ve LOVED the stories from the Falling for Summer Series and One Happy Summer was a fun addition to the series!

Presley James, America’s Sweetheart and famous actress had a moment of frustration and regret that unfortunately went viral. She’s come to Sunset Harbor to unplug and hide until the media find someone else to focus their attention on.

Briggs Dalton is home running his mom’s bookstore after the disappointment of his technology company not working out as planned. While he regroups he runs into Presley and an unlikely friendship forms.

Presley has never been able to enjoy a normal fun summer and Briggs is determined to let her experience all the things she’s missed out on, all while keeping her identity protected.

I loved watching Presley and Briggs form such an unlikely friendship while both were trying to sort through what felt like the mess of their situations.

We were able to see some of Briggs’ family dynamics and it was fun to have his mom and sister a part of keeping Presley protected.

Some of their Summer Activities:
Jumping on the Trampoline
Building a Sand castle
S’mores
Boating and tubing
Dolphins
Beach Volleyball
Outside movie
Snorkeling
Bike ride
Sleeping under the stars

My favorite part is when Briggs helped Presley run lines for her upcoming movie and they kept practicing the kissing scene to make sure they got it right!

Looking for a fun series with characters you’ll love, grab the Falling for Summer series!

Romance content: Just Kissing!

Dreamy Sighs💜

I loved this book and all the Notting Hill references.
Presley and Briggs were able to slow down and appreciate everything around them, including each other. The feel of the story is similar to the movie, with a dreamy quality that makes you nostalgic for summers past, although I would happily listen to this story in any season.
The narration was also enjoyable, not distracting or taking me out of the story.
Becky Monson can set a mood and make me laugh better than anyone.
I highly recommend this and anything she writes.💜

Liked it ..

That was really nice, I didn't expect that I would enjoy it this much

This book will finally tackle Presley James's story, she is the famous actress who made several cameos in previous books but nobody knows why she was in Sunset Harbor or who she will fall in love with .. but now we will know, she came to the Island because of a scandal that happened to her during shooting and she fled to her dear friend Noah (the MC from the second book) and there she meets Briggs, he is a nerd that works in his mother bookshop .. the moment they meet it's all sparks and chemistry between them .. and they try to have the best summer ever, but they come from different worlds, can their love overcome the distance ?

It was really nice to see a sweet romance that has all the feelings without unnecessary "spice" I liked the story and Briggs is a sweetheart .. also his middle name was hilarious, I see his point when he refused to tell her .. I liked the book it's worth a read for sure
