About this listen
A fantasy series full of edge-of-your-seat action, heart-wrenching emotions, and newfound magic for ages 12 to 100+.
The journey begins...
Long ago, a mysterious event known as The Great Forget ravaged Earth. Magic was born.
Millennia later, a baby with red eyes is abandoned at the gates of a small kingdom whose sole mandate is to guard the Pass of Death. The young orphan, Chip, is condemned by a spiteful king to a life of misery in the castle kitchens, looked upon with disdain and treated as an outcast. In an unexpected turn, Chip catches the eye of the wise wizard Xander, who sees something special in him. The wizard sends the orphan to train with the land's most powerful weapons master, where he learns wisdom and hones his skills, preparing for the ultimate test—his Manhood Quest to the Pass of Death.
There, unbeknownst to all, an ancient evil awaits...
At sixteen summers, Chip embarks on his quest to the fabled Pass of Death, where he makes a stunning revelation...
Orphan's Quest is an enchanting tale of bravery, friendship, and self-discovery. Dive into this magical world and join Chip on his journey to find himself, for he may be humanity's last hope. Inspired by the unparalleled works of Tolkien, Brooks, Goodkind, Rowling, Jordan, Eddings, Feist, and more.
Replete with hard-fought lessons of wisdom and impossible choices, this series delves into the illusion of our self-imposed limits and entices us to break through our walls. As the weapons master once said, "Everything we want is on the other side of fear."
Discover the magic, uncover the secrets, and embark on the adventure of a lifetime!
Begin the journey...

Story
All his life, Mark Fields has dreamed of joining the Defense Force to fight the vicious, alien Exlian, just like the rest of his renowned family. But so far, he’s … a dishwasher, trapped in a dead-end job with no powers, no money, and even fewer friends. But an encounter with a dying woman changes everything—granting him the abilities he needs to join the training camps—and his life finally feels like it’s turning around, faster than a movie martial-arts montage (just ignore the weird cat).
