About this listen

The anticipated sequel to Peaceful Pines

Timing is everything.

It’s the start of the tourist season in the Pines, and the quaint little town is busier than ever. Vacationers abandon the hustle of the big city to catch a glimpse into a slower way of life, some secretly hoping there’s a chance at a holiday romance. Meanwhile, Summer and Jake are busy with their own ventures, and they continue to grow closer, finding there's much to learn about love.

Summer hires Luca, a handsome new yoga instructor, to help her out with the studio as it continues to flourish. They work closely together, and it’s clear he wants to be more than just her eager employee. Jake is working constantly, running his thriving hardware store during the day and building the town’s newest resort at night. What he fails to tell Summer is that his amazing new coworker Jessie is a woman.

If things weren’t hectic enough, Summer’s apartment above her studio floods, forcing her to move in with Jake during the renovations. Jake wants to get to know Summer on a deeper level, but living together so soon may prove to be more than they’re ready for. Is there really such a thing as happily ever after? Will the temptations of other people drive them apart, or bring them closer together?

Great second book in the Series!

This is the second book in The Pines Series. This is a great continuation of the first book in the Series. Summer and Jake are great characters. They learn the importance of the communication, and the importance to trust each other. I love the ending. The story is as great as the first book in the Series. The narration was well done.

A Great Continuation

I enjoyed this continuation! I so love Peaceful Pines! Summer and Jake are the main characters and this is their story continued. As they continue exploring their relationship they figure out that communication is so very important. I'm not going to say anything more...you have to get the book to find out for yourself. The narration was done very well. Once again, Maxine Mitchell and Greg Tremblay did a superb job. They kept the voices the same and helped to bring the story to life. They give the characters their own voices and emotions. Together they pull the listener into the story and help the listener feel everything the characters are feeling. I'm looking forward to the next installment. A great listen I will continue to recommend to my friends.

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A love story that you will love

This is a great fantastic book 2 . Crystal Harper the author takes you on a ride through a small town life and everything that it brings . All the drama , insecurities and see cons guessing your self and the love of your life .

Hero is Jake . Heroine is Summer .
This story picks up where the first one ends . Summer has her yoga studio open and thriving. Jake still has his store but he also took on another job to help himself and Sumner .
It seems that every time Jake and a Summer take two steps forward they have to take one step back . It’s not their fault but in a way it is , they let other people interfere. Summer with her assistant at the yoga studio, a man that thinks he has a shot with Summer and Jake always walks in at the wrong time . There is a lady where Jake is doing a housing project that is making goggly eyes at him . Thing is Jake didn’t tell Sumner that he was working with a women .

You get a nice add to the story when Summer brother gets married to another man . And Summers mother opens up a coffee
shop/Eatery .
Love the ending when Summer and Jake make things work .

The narrators are fantastic. Both Maxine and Greg were smooth together. They brought the characters to life . Voices are strong , smooth and clear . Can’t wait for book 3
