Publisher's summary

A shapeshifting god,
an immortality granting peach,
and a woman gifted with forever.

England, 1184: Anna is used to hunger and hardship. Ever since she was seventeen, when the pale shadows of her vitiligo were spotted, she has spent more than a decade struggling to survive alone and in exile. Then a single act of kindness towards a beautiful stranger and the taste of a divine peach changes Anna’s life forever.

Suddenly, her body is as untouched by time as it is by harm. As she watches the world change around her, knowing every human connection is only temporary, there is only one person she trusts to always return, no matter the years or distance...

The shapeshifting god who gifted her with immortality.

One of my favorite fantasy romances

I read this book last year, and I loved it so much, I knew I would read it again this year. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out halfway through my re-read that the audiobook had come out. I think Olivia King did a great job narrating.

Beautiful

Everything about this story and audiobook was simply wonderful. The narrator’s voice and performance were excellent. I loved her voice for main male character, which for me is very rare. Story was beautiful, heart wrenching and so well written.

Unexpected Treasure

This book is a little outside my typical genre. I love a good historical fiction, rarely dip into fantasy (although, admittedly I love a good witch story). But this book was a risk I’m glad I took. Bought it on a whim and I sure am glad. What a fantastic story! The characters are well developed and you can really connect with the main character. I felt every bit of her pain, sadness, angst, and longing. The ending wasn’t what I thought it would be, but I was rather pleased— which says a lot because while I don’t read this genre often, when I do, the endings often p#ss me off. Lol. It’s a fairly quick read, so if you’re looking for a good story, give this book a shot. I’m hopeful there will be more like it or more by this author. Also, the narrator is wonderful- which can absolutely make it break a story. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I have to try to find a new book….
