About this listen
But Fanny is not insane, she is evil! Evil to the core, as the third victim of a generational curse, Fanny is greedy, vain, vulgar, petty, has a violent temper, has no accomplishments whatsoever and is uneducated. She truly believes beauty is the only thing any woman needs to capture the attentions of a wealthy man and raise her society. As it had actually worked for her, no one could gainsay her on the matter.
Unfortunately, Henry Bennet the girl’s father is an indolent, solvently, unambitious man, who only becomes worse as time goes on. He convinces himself that he cannot be bothered nor spare the time for his unruly, undiscipline daughters. He leaves all of them at the mercy of his wife. Even when he sees how she is treating four of his daughters, he brushes it off saying to himself and others, it is Fanny’s right to discipline their daughters in any way she sees fit.
The girls will gain many allies as time continues but there will also be trials, tribulations, death and heartache along the way as well. Then just as something wonderous happens and the girls believe they might have a chance at leaving Longbourn forever. A terrible tragedy happens which takes them back into the nightmare they grew up in.
Soon the girls gain other allies, one of them with a strange and unusual power of his own. But their very lives are in danger, once again due to an unexpected event, that should have brought them great joy. Instead they are on the run trying to stay ahead of the people who would see them all dead.
Who will save the girls? Will there be a HAE for any of them? Will they be able to break the Generational Curse, or will it break them? Read on and begin the adventure in Book 1 of Silence.
AUTHOR’S NOTE:
There are some disturbing scenes in this book, although they are not graphic. Yet they clearly paint a picture of just how evil a disturbed mind can be. If you feel the scene might cause you to become distressed, please jump ahead of it, the book can be read without them. You will not have any trouble keeping up I assure you. Thank you again for reading my work!

In a world where having magic is an overwhelmingly male trait, Elizabeth Bennet is an oddity. Not only does she have magic, but she can control three elements when controlling more than one is rare. She is semi-ostracized simply because no one seems to know how to treat her. That is, until Mr. Darcy comes to Hertfordshire. Mr. Darcy has never met anyone, man or woman, who has as much control over their magic as Miss Elizabeth Bennet. Story
In this low angst, a sweet retelling of Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Bennet is not just idle, he is actively cruel. And Mrs. Bennet, while still uneducated, must do whatever she can to protect her daughters from their father. Mr. Darcy’s epiphany comes much earlier than in canon and it changes his relationships not only with the Bennets but with his sister, his cousin Anne, and Bingley. When the Bennet matriarch moves to an estate outside of Bath with her daughters, Bingley follows and so do both Darcy siblings.

Story
This is yet another sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice Variation. This book of 64,000 words takes Elizabeth and Darcy out of their usual circumstances and meeting places. All of the usual villains are part of the story but minimized significantly. If you enjoy a light-hearted version of Our Dear Couple’s road to Happily Ever After, this may be a book for you. Excerpt: Mr. Thomas Bennet massaged his temples as his five-day-old daughter again woke and cried in hungry complaint. He and the wet nurse Mrs. Lindsay had been on the road for two days with the infant, and his nerves had ...

I much prefer the sharpest criticism of a single intelligent man to the thoughtless approval of the masses. ELIZABETH BENNET is determined that she will put a stop to her mother’s plans to marry off the eldest Bennet daughter to Mr. Collins, the Longbourn heir, but a man that Mr. Bennet considers an annoying dimwit. Hence, Elizabeth disguises herself as Jane and repeats her vows to the supercilious rector as if she is her sister, thereby voiding the nuptials and saving Jane from a life of drudgery. Yet, even the “best laid plans” can often go awry. FITZWILLIAM DARCY is desperate to ...

In this sweet, clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice variation, Darcy and Elizabeth meet for the first time when Mr. Darcy Senior stumbles across Elizabeth on the estate grounds. Without a clue as to who this gentleman truly is, she is shepherded into the study to meet the young master of Pemberley. This 62,000 word novel is written from a decidedly Christian perspective although there are scenes of non-graphic intimacy between married couples. Except: “Father, what are you about? Why did you coerce poor Miss Bennet into the study? " "Please sit down, Son. Do you not remember our agreement...

Still shaken from his horrible proposal, Elizabeth Bennet falls ill at the Rosings Parsonage upon reading Fitzwilliam Darcy’s letter. In her increasingly delirious state, unfathomable influences inspire her to write an impulsive response. The letter gives Mr. Darcy hope in a way that nothing else could. As her illness progresses, Darcy is there at her side, crossing boundaries he has never crossed, declaring things he has never declared. A unique experience bridges them over their earlier misunderstandings, and they start to work out their differences. That is, until Elizabeth begins to ...

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, Elizabeth Bennet unexpectedly inherits a large fortune as the story begins. The effects of this surprising situation are, at first, delightful. Elizabeth is able to provide her sisters with suitable dowries as well as a delightful shopping trip in London. As the realities of her situation set in, however, her male friends and neighbors turn into fortune hunters, swamping her with unwanted attention. Story
The Bennet family of Longbourn, Hertfordshire, had long been known to its neighbours as exceptionally learned though eccentric, but was tolerated because the first Bennets settled there more than four hundred years before, just after the great plague. Both the grandfather and father of the master, Mr. Thomas Bennet, married blue-stocking wives from the Continent. These circumstances had a profound effect on Mrs. Bennet and her five daughters. Because of this broader worldview, the Bennet family was more aware of, and affected by some historical events of the period far outside the twenty-...

listen at 1.2, and find a better editor
this is an excellent light reading series. Garrou is quickly becoming a new favorite author. she tends to overuse period words like "mayhap" (literally several times in the same speech), but overall it's a great guilty pleasure that has no smut. can't wait for the next one but can't find any info on it's release!

The most imaginative story!
Thus not a retelling of pride and prejudice so be prepared to hang onto your seats. It’s do much fun. Mr Bennet is a weak willed man who gives into his insane wife especially when it comes to Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, and Kitty. Do not worry they have their saving angels. This is part one and the story is continued in a yet to be released book.
Listening to the story was enjoyable for me.

Admittedly a bit disturbing, as emotional abuse always is. But the story development, the suspense, the beautiful relationship of the sisters, the way they dealt with the abuse (brava!). Eagerly awaiting part two.

Intriguing story
I absolutely love the vagaries of P & P, the farther away from the original the better. I prefer the basics to stay the same such as time and location but everything else is negotiable. It’s fun to add new characters to the story and new and improved Mary and Kitty. I do love for all of them to be beautiful, talented and good. The writing is very good and the story flows beautifully, such a creative and captivating story. Though not a fan of AI if it’s included in membership I can deal with it. Some very good books on Audible are hiding in AI ~but a good book is made great with a talented voice actor. I am disappointed that book 2 seems not to in the works anytime soon. I was looking forward to reading it. Excellent writing and entertaining story.
