About this listen
Franny Bennett, the daughter of a solicitor, became Thomas’s bride, elevating her station in the eyes of society. After learning of the entail set upon Longbourn Estate, she became terrified; things rapidly became worse as she bore daughter after daughter to her husband.
Franny then became the worst mother, wife, and gentlewoman in England; She constantly criticized her daughters, who she felt did not favor her, and did nothing to further the education of the ones who did. She was loud, shrill, vicious, uneducated, and known as a horrid gossip. She threw her two eldest daughters at each and every man, who was known to have a somewhat decent situation. Ignored her middle daughter completely, all save to disparage her verbally, whilst her two youngest daughters were on their way to ruining the entire family with their wild ways.
Then one day Fanny was out shopping and overheard a conversation where she was the main topic. That one conversation caused her to rethink her position in life, and how she and her family were viewed in the community where they lived. In fact, the entire Bennett family changed in numerous ways, most of the community were in awe of the ‘new and improved’ Bennett’s… but, there were some who could not, and would not, believe such a change was possible.
Three years after the ‘Awakening,’ as the Bennett family called their change, a new family said to be quite wealthy moved into the neighborhood… The Bingley’s. They leased the estate, Netherfield Park, which was only three miles from the Bennett’s estate, Longbourn. Charles Bingley, the head of the family, also brought along his best friend and mentor, Fitzwilliam Darcy. Mr. Darcy was known to be very wealthy, and the owner of a great estate in the North.
As time goes on, the Bennett’s began to realize there is something odd about the Bingley’s… something that rings false, and worrisome to all of them. The more they spend time in their company, the more they feel there is something terribly wrong at Netherfield Park. However, none of them expected just how nefarious the Bingley’s really are… until it is too late.
Before they know it, the terror begins; Mr. Darcy is drugged and compromised. His infamous relations are on their way to rescue him from a horrible marriage. Mr. Collins has come to Meryton and is determined to have Longbourn for himself, of course, after throwing the Bennett’s into the hedgerows,. The Bennett family found themselves to be quite ruined, threatened with gaol, whilst the majority of the town is out for their blood!
Read on to discover the Bingley family’s terrible secrets! What does Mr. Darcy and his family have in mind for his enemies? What happens when the Bingley’s go up against the Bennett’s? Shhh… Let’s find out…
AUTHOR’S NOTE:
There are no sexually explicit scenarios in this book. However, this book does contain violence. I would recommend anyone under the age of eighteen, to ask a parent or guardian for permission before reading it.

Elizabeth Bennet loathes insufferable Mr. Darcy. When a series of mishaps repeatedly throws them into each other’s company—first with her unconscious at Netherfield, then him injured at Rosings—Elizabeth begins to see a different side of the proud man she thought she knew. This tender, low-angst Regency variation of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice proves that pride does indeed come before a fall…and that, in this case, love always comes after.

Story
While staying true to the characters of Jane Austen's much loved tale, this novel takes Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy on a much different journey than Austen did in Pride and Prejudice. Although family and society expect Fitzwilliam Darcy to ignore his heart and “marry well,” soon after entering Meryton, he falls in love with the woman of his dreams. The problem is, while she is perfect for him in disposition, the lady is far below him in everything that matters to his peers and relations: wealth and connexions. Past experiences have convinced Miss Elizabeth Bennet that ...

Story
“This Work Is, By His Royal Highness’s Permission, Most Respectfully Dedicated, By His Royal Highness’s Dutiful And Obedient Humble Servant, The Author.” Underneath the dedication was a line written by the Royal Librarian during the Regency, Mr. Stanier Clarke: ‘A Scribbler: The Honorable Miss Elizabeth Bennet.’ What is the story behind this novel, which was distinguished enough that the Prince Regent, later George IV, requested a dedication to himself? Was the author from the peerage, or did she earn the title? —Prologue, From the Hedgerows to Windsor After Hunsford, ...

In this book (Part 1) the Bingleys are a desperate gang out to marry Caroline off to Darcy, then kill him so Bingley can marry Georgiana and take over the Darcy income and holdings. The Bingleys are pretenders with no apparent past and have no money beside some stolen swag from their last caper. The Bennets have had an AWAKENING and have turned exceptionally genteel (every last one starting with Mrs B), and thanks to Mr Gardiner (who is some kind of London Godfather) are also exceptionally wealthy.
The town of Meryton, led by a jealous Lady Lucas, have turned against the Bennets big time and since the Bingleys believe they can incorporate that ill will into their “master plan” the eldest two Bennet girls are ruined, accused of attempting to compromise Darcy, Bingley and an exceptionally repugnant Collins. Those two girls were BUSY!
When Part 1 ends the Bennet girls are run out of town, Caroline is engaged to Darcy and the Earl and Countess of Matlock are trying to save Darcy from his very stupid self while pretending to go along with the Bingleys’ craziness. The Bennets are promising RETRIBUTION for every single person who dared to frown in their direction. This will be with the aid of their secret Bennet relations, a Duke and Duchess”, and of course the fierce Godfather Mr Gardiner.
The VV is tolerable. Unfortunately Part 2 is not available on audio. You can read it for free on KU if you have a subscription.
