April 1831. Lord Julian is a widower whose mother wants him to marry her best friend’s daughter, Miss Sophie Wilkie, whom he last saw as a silent and skinny twelve-year-old. However, his mother is nothing if not persuasive, and Julian reluctantly accompanies her to London to meet the young lady.
Lord Devlin Monroe, Julian’s nephew, is enjoying an extraordinarily pleasant bachelor life until Miss Sophie Wilkie and her aunt, Miss Roxanne Radcliffe, appear in London society, and he suddenly finds himself wondering how he could have enjoyed midnight alone.
Julian and Devlin must discover what really happened three years earlier when Julian’s first wife was found dead. If they don’t find out the truth, their lives could be ruined. And there is another, even more perfidious, danger that lurks in the shadows, waiting.

What did you like best about Prince of Ravenscar? What did you like least?
It wasn't a bad story once you got to the last 25% of the book. The first 75% of this book just drug on and on. To be honest, I can't believe that I stuck with it until the end. There were a couple times that I asked myself why I continued to listen to it. The end is good though...you just have to get there.Would you recommend Prince of Ravenscar to your friends? Why or why not?
No. I only kept going until it finally got good because I didn't want to waste a credit.Would you be willing to try another one of Anne Flosnik’s performances?
No. I really did not like this narrator. She made the female characters sound childish and whiny. It was hard to reconcile some of the voices with the fierce, sassy demeanor of the female characters.Did Prince of Ravenscar inspire you to do anything?
NoAny additional comments?
I don't have anything against this author...this just wasn't for me. Long and drawn with a subpar narrator. Not a great combination.Really Struggled to Keep Going

I used to be excited when I saw a new Coulter historical romance but after the Valcourt Heiress, and now this one, I am done. For those of you like me who enjoyed the Bride Series and the Magic Trilogy, this has absolutely none of that appeal. It's not really a romance and the suspense aspect is thread bare. To say that it is a Sherbrooke novel, is a poor attempt to get those of us that enjoyed that series to buy this book.
