About this listen
Wear just 33 items for three months and get back all the joy you were missing while you were worrying what to wear.
In Project 333, minimalist expert and author of Soulful Simplicity Courtney Carver takes a new approach to living simply - starting with your wardrobe. Project 333 promises that not only can you survive with just 33 items in your closet for three months, but you'll thrive just like the thousands of woman who have taken on the challenge and never looked back. Let the decluttering begin!
Ever ask yourself how many of the items in your closet you actually wear? In search of a way to pare down on her expensive shopping habit, consistent lack of satisfaction with her purchases, and ever-growing closet, Carver created Project 333. In this audiobook, she guides listeners through their closets item-by-item, sifting through all the emotional baggage associated with those oh-so strappy high-heel sandals that cost a fortune but destroy your feet every time you walk more than a few steps to that extensive collection of never-worn little black dresses, to locate the items that actually look and feel like you. As Carver reveals in this audiobook, once we finally release ourselves from the cyclical nature of consumerism and focus less on our shoes and more on our self-care, we not only look great, we feel great - and we can see a clear path to make other important changes in our lives that reach far beyond our closets. With tips, solutions, and a closet-full of inspiration, this life-changing minimalist manual shows listeners that we are so much more than what we wear and that who we are and what we have is so much more than enough.

Story
Most of us know we own too much stuff. We feel the weight and burden of our clutter, and we tire of cleaning and managing and organizing. While excess consumption leads to bigger houses, faster cars, fancier technology, and cluttered homes, it never brings happiness. Rather, it results in a desire for more. It redirects our greatest passions to things that can never fulfill, and it distracts us from the very lives we wish we were living. But it doesn't have to be this way.

Story
We are often on a quest for more, giving in to pressure every day to work more, own more, and do more. For Courtney Carver, this constant striving had to come to a stop when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Stress was like gasoline on the fire of her symptoms, and it became clear that she needed to root out the physical and psychological clutter that were the source of her debt and discontent. In this book, Carver shows us how to pursue practical minimalism so we can create more with less - more space, more time, and even more love.

Everywhere around you are distractions: That text you respond to quickly, just to get it out of the way. The newest money-making side hustle to cross your mind. The evening spent organizing your overflowing kitchen cupboards. Disruptions are the enemies of a life well lived—both the new distractions of our generation and timeless ones that have existed for centuries. They all add up to make you feel restless, tired, and unfulfilled. They’re keeping you from living with joy, from accomplishing the good that only you can do.

Critic reviews
"Courtney does an extraordinary job helping us address the physical and emotional clutter that comes with our wardrobe." (Ryan Nicodemus, The Minimalists)
"For me, the key to making life simple again started in my closet with Project 333. I’ve learned to not let the things I wear, wear me out. I’m dressing with less, and feeling twice as confident. And for that I’m truly grateful. Allow yourself the possibility of life transformation by simply starting with your wardrobe." (Angel Chernoff, New York Times best-selling author of Getting Back to Happy and 1000+ Little Things)
"I opened Project 333 thinking I could use some help scaling down my closet. Little did I know this practical guidebook would lead me to uncover a major source of stress in my life. Within days of practicing the principles in Project 333, I began seeing my life’s clutter and excess for what they really were - unnecessary burdens that have weighed me down for decades and distracted me from what really matters. With wisdom, humor, compassion, and practicality, Courtney Carver teaches us to notice what’s actually serving the life around us so we can begin making sound emotional and financial choices for ourselves and those we love. Because of Project 333, my family is discovering unlimited possibilities created by living lighter and happier with less!" (Rachel Macy Stafford, New York Times best-selling author of Hands Free Mama, Hands Free Life, and Only Love Today)

Helpful and Inspiring
I picked up this book out of curiosity and now I’m eyeballing my closet for the 33 items I want to use for the challenge. So, it’s safe to say I was inspired.
Minimalism isn’t my thing. At least, that’s what I’ve always thought. Turns out, I’m uninterested in aesthetic minimalism, but the idea of paring down for purpose appeals to me.
I enjoyed the narrator/author’s voice and found the book easy to follow on audio.

Very Inspiring
Courtney shares lots of knowledge and insights about attachment to our things, how we live, and how to destress your life with less. I found her through the Marie Kondo teachings and feel this is a great book for those who are motivated to downsize or make life more simple. I am personally about things that spark joy, and this book will help achieve that as well as help those in search for a less cluttered life, and to find joy in the things we already have. I have been personally motivated by this and have already created a giveaway bag of things I never thought I would be able to let go of. After hearing her perspective, it truly shifted my view on certain things I owned. I will definitely be applying her travel suggestions to my lifestyle immediately, and see where project 333 shall help my life next.

Inspirational and compassionate
It is a challenge I want to do since starting on my decluttering journey a few years ago. The hardest part is living with people who are obsessed with buying themselves things to try and make themselves happy… which has caused lots of debt and more misery. I want to thank you for sharing your story.

Love the message
I really love the message and the book has a lot of useful resources. I found some info is repeated many times during the book and that was a little redundant, but it doesn't take away the value of the book in my opinion.
