The science of the brain and its function

For novice, I loved it all. I thank you for putting this together for the public. I believe everyone to go through this type of training with a teaching in regards of college, but from a young teenager and up

I loved it!!!!

I have been suffering from depression and anxiety for a long time. But in 2020 I reached the lowest low… talking therapy doesn’t work for me. But books like this one have showed me how to understand my triggers and reprogram my mind to think differently. I am not saying that I am 100% free or that I will be able to manage another crisis on my own. But o have been able to see another perspective and not only it has helped me but I have been able to help others 🥰 thank you for writing this book Avery and thank you for reading it to me with your amazing calming voice

Reads like a textbook

I was hoping it would flow like a Jordan Peterson book that is insightful. However, it reads like a textbook with lots of explanation on why topics are important with historical developments rather than providing strategies or insights.

Different types of therapies

It’s very general and not practical enough to apply anything. Should teach exercises on how to apply cbt and nlp to life.
