Publisher's summary

A Harper has always lived at Harper House, the centuries-old mansion just outside of Memphis. And for as long as anyone alive remembers, the ghostly Harper Bride has walked the halls, singing lullabies at night...

Hayley Phillips came to Memphis hoping for a new start, for herself and her unborn child. She wasn't looking for a handout from her distant cousin Roz, just a job at her thriving In the Garden nursery.

What she found was a home surrounded by beauty and the best friends she's ever had - including Roz's son Harper. To Hayley's delight, her new daughter Lily has really taken to him. But to Hayley's chagrin, she has begun to dream about Harper - as much more than a friend.

If Hayley gives in to her desire, she's afraid the foundation she's built with Harper will come tumbling down. Especially since she's begun to suspect that her feelings are no longer completely her own.

Flashes of the past and erratic behavior make Hayley believe that the Harper Bride has found a way inside of her mind and body. It's time to put the Bride to rest once and for all, so Hayley can know her own heart again - and whether she's willing to risk it...

A great end to an amazing trilogy.

Where does Red Lily rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was a great book and provides a good ending.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Lily?

When Harper tells Hayley that he not only wants to marry her and be a farher to their new baby but to adopt Lily and be her true father as well.

What about Susie Breck’s performance did you like?

Very good. Her voice and accents were helpful in feeling like part of the story.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The part where they found out what happened to the Harper bride.

narrator so good I was talking "southern"

If you could sum up Red Lily in three words, what would they be?

delightful southern accents

What did you like best about this story?

This is one of Nora's trilogies: you get three women in different stages of their lives becoming friends and meeting their true loves. These happen to be great women in an interesting situation, dealing with a fourth: a ghost who haunts them all in turn. I like the characters and the situation. Always makes me want to drop everything and go garden, then drink some sweet tea or co'cola.

What does Susie Breck bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Again: delightful southern accents. She gets the difference between Tennessee, Georgia, and Arkansas accents. Her intonation is spot on, she can age her voice as appropriate, and she adds emotion beautifully. She really makes it delightful to listen to one of my favorite series.

Any additional comments?

I love this series, so when I needed an audiobook for a road trip, I decided to pick a favorite. I'm so glad I did--the narrator is perfect and adds to much to the story.

Satisfying ending to trilogy

Weakest, slowest paced of the "In the garden" trilogy. Narrator's southern accents sometimes hard to understand.

Good trilogy

I enjoyed this trilogy. The first two were better than the last one. All 3 books worth a listen.

Wonderful experience

I have been a fan of Nora Roberts for years I have been reading her books for about 20 years so my review might be . I am however new to audible books I wish that there could be female and male narrator’s but just because a narrator does not read a story as one might have wished should not keep you from enjoying the book after all remember when your parents read you a book we still enjoyed the read and ask for more the next night this is no different. So I will continue listening to audible book and enjoy these books.

In the Garden - Book 3

Over a year ago, pregnant Hailey Phillips came to Memphis looking for a job at In the Garden Nursery, which was run by her distant cousin, Rosalind. There she got a job and a new start on life. Now she has a beautiful young daughter, a job that she loves, and several good friends, including Roz's oldest son, Harper Ashby. But things are changing. Hailey is starting to have feelings for Harper. When he returns those feelings, the resident ghost doesn't like their romance. Amelia has always haunted Harper House, singing to the children who grew up there. But she doesn't like the men who live there. In fact, she hates their lying, cheating ways. And Amelia is not happy about Hailey's relationship with Harper. She will do anything to stop it.

This is the 3rd book in the In the Garden Trilogy. Thankfully, this book didn't have the constant talk about plants and gardens. The romance was decent, but not great. Much of this book dealt with finding out information about Amelia in hopes they can send her to a better place. We learned something about her that did not endear her to me. In fact, I lost some of the sympathy that I had for her in the last two books. Overall, a decent ending to the series. My rating: 4 Stars.
