The year jumps are a little off putting, but has to be and easy to transition to the ages of the characters. Kind of some heavy material review and at least talked about if not dealt with or being dealt with. Tinaris is still going a mile a minute and doing the her normal wow lest try this. But, other characters are developed and get more page time.

was enjoyable and was over before I knew it. wanted more of the story

Third book a great continuation of the story

I'm really enjoying this story. The characters feel genuine and the world building, although obvious, is incredible. I can't wait to see how far the author takes it!

Loved it!

I think Cassandra Morris and Graham Halstead so far are simply amazing with their narration. They sound so0 much like they are their character. With the small sighs and pauses between stuff. Definitely a good job in my opinion.

The story is getting pretty interesting, although if I'm honest, I like this concept and I have already listened to the other two books so I might be a bit biased. It's only 6 hours though, which is unfortunate for a credit when some books are like 18 to 22 hours a book lol. The main characters are pretty cool and interesting. The side characters like the side family members are a bit cliché and seem too formal or maybe normal is the word. Like the author tried to make them seem responsible and ordinary at times and then they just say I'm not anymore this one chapter. But overall I guess it works. It's a short book after all.

I give the performance of this book with no crying babies a 10/10. And the actual story an 8/10 for some actual world building, some character development and a couple of fight scenes. If you could call either that war / battle or the monster in town a fight. Not a 10/10 bc some characters seem to be there to literally take up time and space. Like a filler episode that gets your hopes up being good but then you'd rather just watch paint dry until you sleep.

Definitely a good addition to the story so far though lol. 8/10

Love the performance and so far the story

These stories always leave you looking for the next chapter! Our reincarnated Nerd Girl is growing into power house of a Medicine Woman! As she grows older, it becomes harder for her to hide that she is not quite human!

Latest eposide of an awsome series!

really didn't care for the voice acting at the end where a certain character is introduced

Good for the most part

Most of the story is people sitting around and talking. This is the plot/world building/lore dump that’s likely setting up the rest of the series. It can be a bit dry, but important events do happen and it is short enough to digest in a couple days.

I was completely caught off-guard by the male performer halfway through the book. His performance was still pretty bad, but at least his pronunciation has improved.

The last 30 minutes were grating, and don’t have much impact to the story as a whole. Unless certain events repeat themselves, I would feel safe in saying that it’s okay to skip it if you don’t want to listen to a man voice act as a dog and children.

Thank the air that Tinaris dropped the idiot ball back in book 2. She’s back to being a pretty smart adult trapped in a kid’s body. Her interactions, especially with Renge, truly make this book enjoyable.

Renge alone adds a whole star to the rating. Aloof characters are a dime a dozen, but a well written one that feels believable is not something you see too often in books or tv shows.

Exposition: the light novel

Ok, most important reason for this review: the final 1/4 of this book is read by the 3rd narrator and it's among the cringiest performances I've ever heard. I never listen above 1.1x speed, and I pushed this one to 2x just so I could get the info in this part of the book without having to listen to the cringe longer than necessary. I'm so glad the 3rd narrator is different in the next book (though I'd rather they just get Cassandra Morris for the whole book, honestly).

As for the story, this is where it sets up to push past "fantasy world slice of life" to seemingly more traditional isekai save the world type stuff. Seems like it'll be interesting though, so looking forward to the next one.

A shift away from the chillness of previous books

I like the story but I’ll wait to read it myself. The performance is so bad I just can listen anymore. Very cringe worthy.

Giving this up
