Excellent book!
I found this book to be extremely helpful, it is packed with practical knowledge and is truly inspiring. Starting the book I was a bit skeptical as I do not self identify as a “follower of Jesus”, I ended up finding the included parables insightful. This book is a refreshing reminder to me that living in alignment with my values is not an easy task, but takes attentive reflection and concerted effort. I have some work to do! In this book Janice McWilliams reminded me that I am not alone in this work. Her writing is filled with wonderful scaffolding to get unstuck, unfold possibilities and build a more fulfilling life. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and path with the world!

A great read and a wonderful resource!
Janice’s style is enjoyable and easy to follow while being both entertaining and extremely practical. I really appreciated her clear explanations and specific examples of ways we can all tend to either sabotage or improve our attempts at healthy self-care. In a world in which we are bombarded incessantly with demands for our attention, I think we can all benefit from her helpful input. As a therapist, this book not only provides me with a good resource to help me grow in setting healthy practices and boundaries but also supplies a helpful tool for clients, many of whom suffer from the negative impact of years characterized by a lack of important and restorative self-care. Investing in restoring our own souls through reading this book will most likely facilitate mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth in our lives as well as in the lives of those around us.

An excellent audiobook, needed in today’s world!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book since it gives you excellent advice and practical ways to implement these changes. I loved how she went to scripture and offered tools to bring these powerful writings and ideas into my daily life. I find my life easier and more fulfilling when using these simple tools, like bedtime practices. I have so many distractions in my life that incorporating rhythms helped me find time for prayer and meditation.
I am much better off since I listened to this audiobook and have given copies to some friends who I am sure will get as much out of it as I did!
