Publisher's summary

The dead can't speak to us, Professor Madoc had said. But that was a lie. The body Patrick Fort is examining in anatomy class is trying to tell him all kinds of things. But no one hears what he does, and no one understands when he tries to tell them. Life is already strange enough for Patrick - being a medical student with Asperger's Syndrome doesn't come without its challenges. And that's before he is faced with solving a possible murder, especially when no one believes a crime has even taken place. Now he must stay out of danger long enough to unravel the mystery. But as Patrick learns one truth from a dead man, he discovers there have been many other lies closer to home.

Different

I really enjoyed this book. It was so different than the formulaic mystery/thrillers out there these days. The characters are interesting, frustrating, likable, even lovable at times. And the narrator did an excellent job with the nuances of Patrick's condition. It was an excellent listen.

Brilliant and absolutely impossible to put down.

Not one wasted sentence. Character rich , smart , unique , unforgettable with a perfectly paced unraveling. The reader is fantastic too - but the book's so good I wished I'd read it myself, curled up without visual distraction.

Great character development

Well written and intricately plotted the story moves quickly through many subplots and characters. Patrick touches many lives and eventually solves the central mystery of his life

Well written change of pace

Enjoyed "Shut Eye" so decided to give this book a try. Glad I did. Andrew Wincott may be the reason. He brought the story to life!

Satisfying

A fun if sometimes gruesome whodunit. Good character development. Looking forward to the next one.

"Oh Please"... and Thank You!

Finally a really good mystery with likable characters! I loved this book. I have over 300 audio books in my library and if I scanned through them I wouldn't be able to remember a good portion of them. Plain and simple, I won't forget this book!!💖💖💖

Convoluted plot, well read, mystery with heroes

Disparate stories weave together in surprising ways. Redemptions and loose ends tied for those who follow through to the end. Patience is rewarded.
