About this listen

I'm having my bosshole's baby.

Safe to say that's not ideal… especially because he doesn't even know.

As a matter of fact, Kirill is clear across the country, and I'm pretty sure he's never coming back. That's fine. My daughter and I will be a-okay without him. At least, that's what I thought.

Five years goes by like pulling teeth. I learn something. It hurts to do this alone. It hurts to do this without him. It hurts to know what could have been if only we hadn't both been so unbelievably stubborn with our hearts.

Then, one day, just when I think I can't bear to hurt anymore, he's back, and I have the chance to say all the things I've been waiting five long years to say. But before I can say it, Kirill drops a bomb of his own.

Ruby Mercy is book two of the Zaitsev Bratva duet. Kirill and Rayne's story begins in book one, Ruby Malice.

GREAT WRITING

This was a really good audible book. The female narrator was really good and the male narrator was good except when he had to read the female parts (it was awful but I made it through). There is A LOT of arguing between the two main characters (so exhausting ). And by the end of the book, which I felt was way too long, I was tired of the female characters lack of self confidence and berating herself throughout the whole book! The first book was much better. This author is an amazing writer. Happy Listening❤️

Looong to get to HEA!

I think this was 20 hours of love struggles for 1 hour to get to an HEA. Nice ending but it was a LONG time coming.

Excellent conclusion!!

Such a great story/duet! Very much mafia-lite. We don’t even know what Kirill’s area of the Bratva is! He’s just in charge - of what? Just everyone! No real business takes place, so if you’re looking for heavy mafia, don’t look here. The characters definitely develop during this part of the story and the changes are badly needed! The romance sure took its time getting to the finish for both MCs but it’s worth it. And a couple of details you wouldn’t expect get tied up in surprising ways!

Mixed feelings

Rayne’s character was an eye roll in this second book . She was both “weak” and strong and the both characters just kept clashing. I didn’t like how she never stood up for herself against “Victoria” . She constantly puts herself down . Overall, the story was great with a great surprise twist. the narrators of course did a good job !

The male narrator.

The book was excellent. I liked when the main character got jealous over the lead female character.

Not a dark romance, more of a Rom Com

Good but annoying and funny at times. The narrators' voices makes it even sillier at times. I would not call this a dark romance just because it involves a crime family.
The MFC is very annoying and stupid. The story is much too long with so much useless inner monologs from the MFC. The first book was more to the point, but it's a good story.

Not nearly as good as the first

I feel no sympathy for her in this book. She is insufferable, irritating, selfish and completely ignorant
