I tried my best to run easy in Base Training and not be miserable. I can go into all the details but worked my way through support and specific training on queue.
Race day was 94% humidity, I knew there were rolling hills unlike my California coastline typical runs and had the absolute worst night of sleep before the race.
I ended up running 1:38:22, 11/400 in my age group 40-44, a 7:20/mi pace.
Your program works and I am looking forward to my next half marathon with my goal to come in at a pace sub 7 per mile. It won't take long I guarantee it.
