How do we know we are real and not just some character in an elaborate game?

In the virtual world of Saga, Ghost is a 15-year-old airboarding anarcho-punk, with no past, no memories, only a growing realization of her own strange abilities. But who is she really and why is she becoming embroiled in a battle with the warped leader of Saga - the Dark Queen? How have Erik and Cindella Dragonslayer fared since their adventures in Epic.

And what happens if you dare to reach outside your world, or to question your identity? Is that simply the road to madness, death and destruction?

It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Understand it WAY MORE the second time around

Grew up playing RuneScape and this trilogy is exactly like it! This book really confused me the first time around and now that I’ve listened to it this second time it is much easier to follow. Can’t wait to read EDDA again. If you’re looking for another great series go listen to A Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson and then Stormborn

great story, ok narrator. well worth a listen

Narrator had no vocal range and poor pacing. Decent audio quality, no white notice or background sounds. Interesting premise and good execution. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It had great world building with good display, no info dumps. Good prose and descriptions, story flows well. initial listen through I hadn't read the previous book even if you havent read the previous book however having read the previous book before my second pass through I can say this is still easy to follow. Well fleshed out characters, great character growth and organic interactions. Occasional pov and perspective shifts that are done in a way that adds to the story rather than take away or make it seem scattered. Good rising action/climax. I cant wait to see what comes next.

I want this genre to succeed

This is the second book in a trillogy. it is obvious that the author didn't put in the effort they did in the first. This book spends a great deal of time expressing the point of view of the in-game characters. It stretches the possibilities and just isn't as fun as the first. I really hate giving low reviews, but for me, this book was far below the bar set in the first. There are amusing scenes, but it just didn't hold my interest. I hope it holds yours better. I want more emersive gaming books, so my quest goes on.
