IM A FAN! Ugh!!

I love this story, I want a bit more at times. I love the declarations of love but I just need a little more from the relationship besides the sex and im a smut loverrrrr but every interaction or heartfelt moment doesn’t need to lead to sex 😭. With that said, this is some of theeeeee best smut I will ever read. Helen. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Epic Avendure

Helen Scheuerer’s Shadow and Storms the fourth book in The Legends of Thezmarr series, solidifies her place as a powerhouse in the fantasy genre. With stakes higher than ever, this installment brings an unforgettable mix of gripping action, heartfelt character development, breathtaking world-building, and a touch of spice that adds even more heat to an already gripping tale.
By the time readers reach this stage of the series, the world of Thezmarr feels like a second home, and Shadow and Storms takes full advantage of that familiarity. Scheuerer delves deeper into the politics, alliances, and conflicts that have defined the series, expanding the lore in ways that feel both surprising and organic.
The protagonist, Thea, continues to grow as a fierce and determined leader, facing challenges that push her to her limits. Her resilience and humanity shine as she balances the weight of her responsibilities with her personal struggles. Readers will be captivated by the depth of her journey and inspired by her unwavering commitment to those she loves. Thea continues to dazzle with her strength, vulnerability, and determination. She faces challenges that test her both emotionally and physically, deepening her character and making her journey utterly compelling.
What makes this book stand out is the way it seamlessly balances explosive battles, intricate plot twists, and emotional resonance. Scheuerer’s writing is vivid and cinematic, drawing readers into every scene, whether it’s an intense confrontation or a quiet moment of reflection. The supporting cast is just as compelling, with each character contributing layers of complexity and richness to the story. Their relationships are authentic and often heart-wrenching, highlighting themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and redemption that run throughout the series. As the fourth installment, Shadow and Storms raises the bar for what’s to come, delivering answers to long-burning questions while introducing new mysteries to unravel. Scheuerer’s ability to maintain tension and intrigue across multiple books is truly commendable. For fans of epic romantic fantasy, Shadow and Storms is a must-read. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and a testament to Scheuerer’s exceptional storytelling. If you’ve followed Thea and Wilder’s journey from the beginning, this book will leave you eagerly anticipating the next book in The Legends of Thezmarr.

An excellent conclusion to this series!

I think I liked this book the most because our adventuring party was reunited with our adventuring party from Slaying the Shadow Prince (LOVE! And highly recommend reading prior to this entire series as it provides SO much context). The battles were epic, the found fam was perfection, the banter was bantering, the only minor critique is the spice got a little boring / repetitive towards about 2/3rds of the way through. Overall, this series is a fun ride and Kip is my favorite found fam of all time.

Great conclusion to the series

4.25 Stars ⭐️

This has been one of those series that - at least to me - has been an up and down ride. I thoroughly LOVED the first book but then had some real problems with the second book. The third book definitely redeemed itself, so when it came to this book - the 4th and final book - I wasn't sure what to expect.

I'm happy to say that this last book did a good job of bringing this series to a close. There was a lot to tie up and Ms. Scheuerer did a great job of bringing ALL of the previous secondary characters back in a way that just worked. We even got to see Talemir and Drue reunite with Wilder and with them that included their young addition to their family.

This was a really great book of found family - even if it took everyone a little bit of time to realize that. The sisters were reunited - which was important and through each sister, they brought more people into the group. I especially loved seeing a future for Wren along with Thea and Wilder's conclusion.

Again, the biggest issue that I had with this book was the level of...well.....I guess you would call it smut. As I mentioned before in the review of book 2, there is nothing wrong with smut and I usually have absolutely no issues with it. In fact, some of my favorite books would probably live under that category. The issues came with the amount, and the sometimes crazy and inopportune timing. It got to the point where you lost the intimacy between Thea and Wilder and it just became an act. The story was truly solid enough on its own and that amount of s*x was NOT necessary. With that being said - thank goodness this book was not as bad as the second book (seriously....on the outside balcony over the thousand troop tents before the big battle....now, THAT was too over the top)

So all in all the series as a whole was a good series. There were some really GREAT things about it, but to me, I would probably say the character relationships are what pulled it from an okay series to a really good series. Thea, Wren, Kip, Cal, Wilder, the other War Swords and all of the other secondary characters made for a wonderful and fun group.

wrapped up nicely

I think the performance by the voice actors throughout this series was phenomenal. each characters voice was distinct and consistent. I feel like the series was wrapped up nicely and there isn't much in addition that I long for closure on.
