Bryan Bishop
From the popular sidekick on the Guinness World Record-breaking Adam Carolla Show comes this candid, comical, and uplifting memoir of the author's courageous battle and recovery.
At 30 years old Bryan Bishop’s life was right on track: as the sidekick on The Adam Carolla Show, his career was taking off and, newly engaged, his personal life was soaring to new heights. Then he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.
Suddenly Bryan’s promising future was looking at a troubling schedule of radiation and chemotherapy. But having found refuge in comedy, "Bald Bryan" recounts his alternately heartbreaking and hysterical experience of cancer treatment and recovery, from writing his will with the bravado of a pulp novelist, to taking chemo in a strip club, to achieving his life-long dream of getting another woman in the shower with him and his wife (even if it was only for physical therapy). These and other charmingly twisted scenes make the serious truly a laughing matter. Now four years since his initial diagnosis, Bryan celebrates how his aggressive treatment shrunk his tumor and gave him a new lease on life.
Through odds and obstacles, blunders and dilemmas, Bryan radiates through his narrative with wonder and humor. This profound, honest, and surprisingly funny recovery audiobook is a Cancer Schmancer for the Jimmy Kimmel Live! crowd.
Length: 8 hours and 01 minutes.

What did you love best about Shrinkage?
We also went through cancer treatment in 2009 and although our prognosis was not as bad as the Bishop's, we went through many of the same things. This book is for everyone but it must be read by people preparing for cancer treatment. What about Bryan Bishop’s performance did you like?
It was very compelling when Bryan got emotional and Christie's contributions were great.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I will definitely look at getting future works from Baldwin. I just hope they don't involve more life threatening diseases.
Very Engaging

What made the experience of listening to Shrinkage the most enjoyable?
Listening to the Adam Carolla show for many, many years, I was already familiar with Brian as a extremely intelligent and quick member of the show. I remember hearing and feeling the struggle with his health from the initial onset. This book is such a beautiful exploration of such a tragic and aggressive time. Excellent! So VERY excellent!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Bald Bryan from the Adam Carolla Show takes center stage and shares his life with us after being diagnosed with cancer. I totally recommended this book to anyone that has being affected with cancer or knows someone that has. Heck I recommended this book to people that want to hear about one mans hurdle to overcome a dire situation with his family and friends in the side lines rooting him on through and through! Heck, I must admit halfway through I found myself jealous of Bryan and popping the top of my jelly jar! His wife Christie, family and friends did more for him then any low life schmuck in mine would do.What other book might you compare Shrinkage to and why?
Not Taco bell material by Adam Carolla. What about Bryan Bishop’s performance did you like?
Byran's charm is that he still sounds like a kid about to hit puberty, rough around the edges. He's not an actor which shows but that's what works for him.Any additional comments?
The tumor that tried to kill him and made me jelly
