Wow any other great book! I started with the anime, but I’m glad I started reading the books!

This are great books!

I've said this before in other reviews from this series, but this series is best enjoyed in anime form with these novels serving as a great source of insight. The anime suffers from a terrible lack of explanations that are compounded by the constant time leaps, and the novel is just really awkward and often terribly repetitive, especially when No Name / White is talking to herself. Together, however, you get the best of both worlds.

At any rate, as a fan of the anime, I felt that this volume in particular shed a lot of light on the connections between the past scenes and the future scenes, and how the group in the future got together. I really enjoyed this one. It is such a shame these are so short with such long waits between releases.

More Great Insight

I love MC, she's funny, awkward, and overall just a great character. I think Schlainn is way too full of himself though for a hero character

MC being bada**

Not a professional review. I did all for the stars!it does want so many words tho.

So I left a review So what!

The story is of course fun, the plot is developing at pace, etc. Just please, for the love of God, don't replace the narrator. Delay a release if necessary, just as long as you can keep her as the VA.

Not only does she do a great job as the MC, it's mostly a breeze to tell apart the characters during scenes involving an ensemble. Unless Yen Audio wants to hire an ensemble cast to fill other roles, it would be a DRASTIC downgrade if anyone else were to take on the role of narrator for the series.. been seeing it happen on some great books and don't wish to see it happen here. :)

Great! Please don't replace Caitlin Kelly

Amazing!!! The narrator is one of the best I ever heard and can’t wait for next book.

Great

I get your world building, but I'm 4 hours in, and the mc of this series has been in it for about 10 min. I'm not the biggest fan of that. all in all, though it's not a bad story

it's all right but needs more spider

Things really pick up in this volume and long built up mysteries come to light.
If you even somewhat enjoyed the last few volumes then this one is going to be a personal favorite.

Performance is as spectacular as it's always been. Can't wait for the next volume to drop!

Good as always

By book 5 of an ongoing series, you’re either sold or you’re not. The audiobooks have now caught up with the anime, and the performance is as good as ever. Side stories and asides seem to be becoming more common as the series goes on, which really helps break up the flow and keeps the story engaging. The long (and I do mean LONG) stat descriptions also seem to be becoming less frequent, which for most will be a godsend.

So overall, good as ever. Looking forward to the next one.

Good stuff

Is it me, or is Caitlin Kelly's narration getting better and better. It's interesting to see how she grows into her role here, considering how much I disliked her performance in the English dub of the anime. Here she has grown on me and provided a realistic (rather than obnoxious) take on our introverted sociopathic spider.

Keep it coming!!!
