Basically Perfect

The story was very fun, The relationship between the MC and his companion remind me a lot of Venom and Eddie Brock from the Marvel movies.

if there is anything negative to say (besides I'm sad it's over and we didn't get to hear more stories from auxiliary characters) it's that the MC is a 100% Go-Go-Go! character. I don't mind this but i know I've heard similar complaints about characters like this before. He reminds me a lot of Lindon from Cradle.

Engaging,Smart, and Fun

The character development is well done and the plot growth is fantastic. Thank you to the author for not overburdening the readers with more stats and less story. MUCH appreciated. The narration was simply perfect. Really helped to bring it to life.

A solid series with a bit of a redundancy problem

The characters are well fleshed out and interesting, Henry becoming more and more of the quirky friend as the series goes on is enjoyable, and the narration is good. The story itself isn’t groundbreaking but it’s serviceable.

The author could stand to use a thesaurus though, or just remove redundancies as many times throughout the series you would get sentences like “he looked at the book before finally opening the book” something that could’ve been easily fixed in proofreading, but leaves the series feeling a bit unpolished.

For a single credit though? It’s a great bargain.

Great book! Fun ride!

Better than I thought it would be. The characters are fun and interesting. Lots of world building, lore and character progression. Great take on the magic school premise, but doesn't get bogged down by it. The over arching story remains ever focused and the magic school plot device helps the story progress not stagnate. Basically, you don't have to worry about this devolving into a magic high school drama (ugh) even though most of the story lines center around the schools. All in all, I'd recommend this book to anyone that likes power progression, a bit of edgelord flavor, and a snarky dark magic companion (Henry grows so much on you! Silf too! And Delf even!)
