One of the best book series this year

Absolutely loved this book! How could you not love a book that starts with a character digging a grave? This story twist and turns so many times and it is hard to know who can be trusted. It is a book that you will want to keep listening to, you need to know what is going to happen next.... fantastic!

A masterpiece

An absolutely fascinating story that had me guessing until the end. Special mention must go to the author's vivid and wonder-filled descriptions of the location setting; they elevate this work tremendously and create the constant sense of an eerie paradise on the edge of the world. Excellent narration throughout.

What are the constant popping sounds?

I don't think I'll be able to finish this book even though I really liked the story. I am sound sensitive and every time there is that clicking noise in the background it takes me out of the story and then I just stop listening and count the clicks. Please amazon edit these annoying noises out!

If you like the sound of saliva...

With every word you can hear the saliva in the narrators mouth. Gross!!! Will have to get a refund...... just looked back at the details and it appears to be the author who narrates. Rarely works well.
