Publisher's summary

Lusting after the woman trying to steal my job is stupid. Sexting with her? That’s a game-changing fumble.

Emma Crawford became enemy number one the second she stepped foot on Blue Mountain Farm. She might think I’m just a dumb jock, but I know she’s a stuck-up wine snob who believes she’d be a better exec than me. She can take my position over my dead body.

But with her ridiculous curves and fearless smarts, she’s becoming one giant distraction just when I need to prove my worth most. Lucky for me that I have a secret internet sext partner to blow off steam with. My nightly dirty chats with V scratch all the itches Emma gives me. Emma and V couldn’t be more different - except it turns out they’re the same person.

Just when I thought this scenario was enough of a disaster, I’m falling for the co-worker I can’t touch and can hardly stand. Even a hotshot player like me can see this is a game we’re both gonna lose.

Southern Hotshot is the next STAND-ALONE novel in the all new North Carolina Highlands Series! This is Samuel and Emma's smoking hot enemies-to-lovers story.

Smooth Southern romance

There is something about that southern drawl that gets a girl everytime. Jason Clarke doing that accent will give you chills and make you do a little dance in your chair. Virginia Rose continues to be one of my favorite female narrators. She does that drawl with ease.
This story starts with quite an opening and gets you right from the start. The story makes you want to drink all the wine and eat all the best food. You will fall in love with listening to these 2 characters discuss it with such passion and add sexual puns at every opportunity. If the final meeting and reveal at the end was done better this would have been a 5 star. This book will make you feel want to head to Asheville tomorrow. The sex is hot and I love an alpha female.

Hot enemies to lovers

Southern Hotshot was a sexy enemies to lovers and I could not get enough of Emma and Samuel. The chemistry, the banter and the fire between these two was hot. They have an undeniable connection with each other both in real life and online. I loved arching them open up to each other and fall in love.

Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke did an amazing job bringing these two story to life. They are do an amazing job bringing out the banter and I loved that the internet chats were done in duet style. Both of their performance were great!

Holy HOTNESS!!!

Samuel and Emma burn up the sheets in this story! It was really HOT!!! Emma likes to take the lead in the bedroom and to Samuel's surprise he loves it!

Samuel is bound and determined not to like Emma when she comes to work for his family's resort. Emma is bound and determined to make something of herself and prove she can be just as successful as the rest of her family. These two butt heads until they don't. The connect on a work level, but on an emotional level as well and Samuel realizes he NEEDS Emma to stay.

It was great to see this family again and watch more connections through the story. This band of brothers is a fun one! Great story!

The narrators did a great job bringing this story to life.

North Carolina Romance

Loved Emma and Samuel! Emma is starting as a wine sommelier at a family resort. Samuel looks at her as competition. Can these two work out their differences and find a path to true love even if it is a little messy? 5 stars

Great story and narration

Ms.Peterson wove a story with characters you couldn’t help but fall for and I found myself riveted to Samuel and Emma’s story. The fact that they start out disliking one another was entertaining, as everyone around them could see the attraction and chemistry that sizzled between them.

This is a story of love and family and I loved how invested The Beauregard family is in one another’s love life. I fell hard and fast for Samuel whilst Emma is one of those women that I could easily see as a friend; she is feisty, sassy, and knows what she wants.

This was a steamy read that ticked the boxes for me. There were times I laughed, times I cried but at the end of the book, I was left with a smile on my face. Southern Hotshot was a great addition to this series; it is a little gem and one I recommend.

Having loved the book I couldn’t wait to listen to it on audio and I was not disappointed. The performances by the narrators Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose, did justice to an entertaining book and added to my enjoyment overall.

Hard to put into good enough words!!

I code this rating because this book is a can’t stop listening kind of book. The author writes these stories in the most amazing ways. And the way She describes the intimate scenes between the two main characters …damn!!! It makes you want to go do the same thing with your own partner. But also being born and raised in North Carolina myself and my two favorite places being Asheville and Charleston, South Carolina these books really hit home and Jessica Peterson does it right and hits the ball out of the park every time she writes one of her books whether it’s the Southern Heat collection or the Blue Mountain collection. But God I would love to see these become movies even if they were just on Netflix or something that shit would be awesome. ~Jessica from North Carolina~

Oh and the Narrator’s are spot on. I would love to be one of them!!! And I have a real southern accent not a learned one…just saying!

In love with this book!

I just loved and adored Southern Hotshot so so much! Jessica Peterson has written an amazing enemies-to-lovers story. This audiobook is narrated by Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose. (one click narrators for me)

Samuel and Emma's story is hot, bothered, and full of sexual tension right from the start. Samuel does not appreciate Beau hiring the wine sommelier Emma. Samuel is doing just fine at the Blue Mountain Restaurant, and does not want her help. Emma is determined to make her mark, and be the best she can be at the her job. When these two get together, there is so much spark. It is epic!

Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose narrate this story. Their voices compliment each other so well. Jason's southern drawl as hotshot Samuel is spot on, and just hits you in all the right places. With Jason, you never have to guess who is speaking. He is super talented with different accents and voices. Virginia is the perfect Emma, bringing all her spunk, sass, and determination to life in the best ways!

Jessica Peterson has written another fabulous, steamy book. Her attention to detail about the setting, food, and deep, emotional characters is amazing and so well written! I loved this book! I am looking forward to Hank's story next!

A favorite in audio!

Holy hotness, this book is INCREDIBLE in audio! I was alternating between fanning myself and swooning! The butterflies are real when you're listening to Jason and Virginia as Samuel and Emma! They absolutely nail the chemistry and passion between these characters, and you feel like you're living the story with them! I fall more in love with Jessica's books in audio because they are so damn good! Make sure to pick this one up....it has everything you love about Jessica's books -- heart, humor, steam, food, the works! You won't be disappointed with this one!

So good......and so hot!!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Jessica Peterson's work.......she's absolutely amazing. And Southern Hotshot, let's just say she upped the hotness factor in a way that I was not expecting and it was awesome! That intro, totally surprised me, but when you got to really know Samuel and Emma's characters, it made so much sense that they met the way they did! And that there was a bit of role reversal in who was in charge - and I was there for it!!

And at work, Samuel and Emma had quite the fiery and passionate chemistry whenever they were around each other. It really was a true hate to love (mostly hate on Samuel's side), and watching them teeter that edge until they gave into those simmering feelings.....ahh, I just really enjoyed it. Part of that was because of the development of both the characters, and seeing their vulnerabilities and inner thoughts......Jessica really blew me away with both Samuel and Emma, because after what we got to see of them in the first book, I didn't expect either of them to have the brokenness that they did. And the cameos from Eli, Luke, and Grayson - yes!!! That was an amazing scene in the book. Oh how I've missed them! The whole story was just so fantastic in every way possible and I didn't want it to end!!

Oh.....and what about that epilogue?!?! I am so excited for Hank's book next! How much longer until Southern Sinner???

Seriously, if you haven't started this series......get on it, because you will absolutely love these Beauregard brothers and the women that steal their hearts!

PS. If you are a fan of audiobooks - you definitely need this one (and Southern Seducer) in your library! Jason Clarke's voice is downright delicious and I am just loving his narration. And Virginia Rose is absolutely fantastic as well! These two are the perfect pairing for this series!

This is a good story but not my fav of the series

This one is good but not my favorite of the series. I did enjoy the story of these two. The internet “chats” between V and Blu were a bit much for me. The rest of the story was perfect. Samuel was such a stick in the mud. Angry but at the wrong person and for the wrong reason. Emma has the cool job as a sommelier. She butts heads with Samuel upon first meeting but wants to work thing out. The connection is easily “felt” through the story.

We get to see just a little bit of the family. Hank comes off nice and heartbroken in here so I am glad I read his book first to see how he recovers. Some of this story happens at the same time as book one so that made it kinda fun seeing Beau with Maisie again.

I did listen to this on audio. Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose did a good job narrating. While this is a good story its mot my fav of the series.
