About this listen

Take a deep breath and let go of the reins.

Cecilia "CeCe" Ashby is finally escaping the toxic relationship that has consumed her entire adult life. She's returning to her hometown of Laurel Creek, Kentucky, and her family's equestrian ranch, unsure of what the future holds.

Nash Carter, the newly retired superstar of the Dallas Stars, is Laurel Creek's hometown hero, local business owner, and notorious bachelor. He's also the unofficial fourth sibling in the Ashby clan. It's been years since his days of tormenting CeCe with her older brothers Wade and Cole. So, when CeCe needs a job, he feels drawn to help her.

Nash can't seem to take his eyes off of his best friend's sister, and it seems she's been staring right back, not without animosity left over from his childish teasing back in the day. Despite their initial reluctance, the fire between them ignites and it isn't long before they jump into the flames.

In this steamy cowboy romance, a woman returns to her family's ranch after a broken engagement and finds herself falling for her brother's best friend. The first novel in the Silver Pines Ranch series.

I just love Cece and Nash. The narration was excellent. This boom is sweet and spicy with the best witty banter ever. Very entertaining. Great listen and highly recommend.

Sweet and spicy

This was my first Paisley Hope novel and it WILL NOT be my last! I loved the setting of this story, in rural KY… I loved the dynamic between Cece and Nash… their past, overcoming their fears of making a future together, and finally getting their HEA… Nash is a gruff, retired NHL hockey player and also a “part time cowboy.” Does it get any better than that?! Except his mouth maybe… 😮‍💨 I listened to this one and narration was chef’s kiss! 🤌🏻💋 This one is a definite must read/listen!

NASH & CECE ❤️

Sweet & spicy. Nash is the standard! I loved Ceces strong personality & thought the story was good for a debut! Would have loved to hear this one in a duet style narration. This was my first time listening to Thomas Oakley and really enjoyed his voice for Nash!

Small town cowboy romance, what’s not to love!!?

Loved this

It was a good plot. The romance was fine, but there a lot of spicy scenes that didn’t quite help the plot move forward. It was a book that read like a first book. The audiobook was good. I would read from the author again.

It Was a Book

I really liked this story! I felt like these characters and this town were real and I was a resident! I do feel the male voice actor pulled me in more but both were great!

Fun, just enough stream, just enough storyline

While this book was cute, it didn't quite hook me as much as I'd hoped. I found myself struggling to connect with the main characters, and their chemistry just didn't quite work for me. However, I think this book would make a fantastic palette cleanser. I would recommend the audiobook. The narrators did a fantastic job with the dual narration, really bringing the characters to life through their voices. Even if the story didn't fully hook me, their performance was great.

Cute Story

Really LOVED the audio! The narrators did a great job bringing Cece & Nash to life! Thomas Oakley as the growly Nash was top tier!

Book/story:

I adored this one!! Small town, cowboy, but also hockey?! I had to have it!

Nash Carter ladies & gentleman, PHEW! The mouth on this man!! Throw in he’s tattooed, retired from hockey, has a heart of pure gold for his family & community, as well as he’s protective & possessive as hell,,,I was a goner! How he was with CeCe, and really their entire family, just melted me! He may creep his way into my top MMCs list 👀

And CeCe?? Omg I loved her! Her entire personality, LOVED! She is such a spitfire & I love a strong southern FMC! She comes home to get away from a toxic relationship (that man was ridiculous!), & her family welcomes her & embraces her with open arms! I love how in this one both she & Nash have some healing to do, & have grief that is apart of who they are now but they both help the other with it. Plus their chemistry is INTENSE & I was sweating this entire book with them 🥵

I cannot wait to jump into the next one!!

Part Time Cowboy 🤠

Super cute story with nice voice acting. The story line was fine, a little cliche but thats what we love, though some of the phrases were a little overused (look at you ‘biblically’). However if thats it, thats a win in my book. The POVs switched at appropriate times, there was good banter, steamy scenes, and plenty of character growth. Overall if you like hometown romances, second chance romances, borderline forced proximity, and some good ole Kentucky gentleman, then as Shania would say, “lets go girls”
