About this listen

I suck at witchcraft.

Coming from a long line of famous witches, I should be at the top of the heap. Problem is, if there’s a spell cast anywhere near me, I‘ll somehow mess it up. As a probationary agent with the Arcane Bureau of Investigation, I have two choices: I can limp along and maybe pass myself off as a competent agent, or I can die.

Horribly.

Worse news? I seem to have a stalker in the form of a sinfully hot, perpetually grumpy wolf, who seems to have a keen interest in keeping me alive.

Whose idea was this again?

If you enjoy fated mates, enemies-to-lovers, and steamy paranormal romance, then check out Spells and Slip-ups, the first audiobook in The Wrong Witch series.

I Enjoyed It

I really enjoyed this book. It was the first book I've read/listened to by this author. I liked the world it was set in and the intermix and balance of witches/paranormal and non-paranormal society. I really liked both Wren and Nico. Wren is a witch who constantly fails at magic, but I love her sassy personality and she has a good heart. Nico was a growly and protective wolf shifter who saved her life and has been powerfully drawn to her ever since. I also liked the supporting characters in this book.

I listened to this story in audiobook and I loved the narration. Wren's character was narrated by Celeste Woodward and Nico's character by Lance Greenfield. I thought both did a fantastic job with their narrations, showed good emotions at the appropriate times, and did good jobs differentiating between different voices. I also liked the accents. Overall the story was all the more rich for it's narrations and I very much enjoyed it.

Loved the book, the audio makes it even better

I love the underdog and frankly Wren is a class A underdog. Rejected and scorned by her own family, with failing magic, she finds herself on the wrong side of the law and is faced with an incredible challenge. Become a recruit for the ABI or face a death sentence. Thrust into a training camp faced with unfriendly trainers, new paranormal friends or enemies and the absolute need to win at all costs - she has quite a battle ahead. The author loves to throw curveballs at her characters and Wren faces them like a champ.
I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narration was well done and enhanced the overall experience.

I truly enjoyed the audio book and the different voices. It brought the characters to life and got even more locked into the stories will be listening to more soon.

ROTFL with a side of heat!

What a fun read. Loved the characters and the story was a ton of fun. Who doesn’t love a strong heroine that just can’t seem to get it right and a hot guy in denial? Excellent from the start to the end with suspense adventure and a great supporting cast. While I know you can’t go wrong with Annie Anderson, this story doesn’t slip anywhere. First class read.

I also listened to the audio and the narrators brought the story to life. I like audio books because I can actually “read” while doing something else so this was perfect. Alternating POVs which gives the story more interest (I love to hear both sides of the story).

Non-stop excitement

Spells & Slip-ups is an exciting first book (listen) in an amazing series. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the story, so much so that I finished the next two books in as many days. Yep, that good! Wren and Nico’s chemistry is off the charts and with their band of friends it is a non-stop, steamy adventure. I loved the dual narrators, Nico’s voice is super alpha sexy and Wren’s accent is just right for her. Give it a listen, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Listen!

I read the book when it was first released and loved it. Listening to it really enhanced the story and the chosen narrators were perfect for Wren and Nico’s characters.
I received this audiobook for free and am very pleased that I gave it a listen. I have never really thought about how much listening to a book would add so much to the experience.

Even Better!

Such a great story, and now with the new male narrator it all fits together. I liked the old narrator, but he didn’t have that southern accent that meshed with the rest of story. See previous review for rest of story.

Must listen!

I read Spells and Slip ups when it first came out and loved it, but experiencing the audio book brought the world to life. Both narrators absolutely knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait for book 2!.
