Publisher's summary

The adventure continues....

Ordained by an ancient goddess of mercy and light, former knight Allystaire Coldbourne has become a paladin, a hero out of legend. But evil stalks him, angry gods align against him, and greedy warlords want him dead.

With the help of his friends, each blessed with extraordinary powers by the Goddess, Allystaire must escape the clutches of sorcerers and wicked rulers who will stop at nothing to destroy him as he continues his dangerous quest to bring peace and unity to the fractured and war-torn Baronies. With the Longest Night of mid-winter approaching, the Goddess weakens and armies march - armies determined to bring destruction and horror to the paladin and all who follow him. Allystaire is soon left with only his powers, his handful of friends, and his mission to be a beacon of hope, still and bright, in the encroaching darkness.

Best ending battle of any book I've read

This is a book about some people meeting a good and starting a religion. They are very dedicated to their cause, and I suppose it might be a bit much for some, but it's definitely a well written great story, with some really cool characters. It does a large scale battle batter than I've seen before. Definitely worth your credit

Just as good.

The book started right where it left off. The performance was very good. It could have been better if you could really hear Torvahl's singing. The ending sequence at the temple felt rushed.

Good book

I liked how the second book jumped right into where the first ended. There was a great mix of comedy and seriousness throughout which was awesome. I also like that it didn't beat around the bush with explaining how certain things work.

Really good

Man I love the way Michael Kramer reads these books if it isn’t for him I’d never would have known about this series. Super good read I love fantasy and it’s up there with Raymond fiest and Brandon Sanderson and R A Salvatore. Michael keep up the good work want to hear more from him.

excellent sequel

I'm not a big fantasy fan, but this book is just fantastic.
I gushed endlessly over the first part of this trilogy, so I'll say a little less here, because everything I loved in Ordination is continued and improved upon here. The characters are great, the world feels alive, the perils feel genuine, despite the fact that I knew there would be another book after this.

Highly recommended for any reader, not just die-hard fantasy enthusiasts.

Masterful Writing and Presentation

this series is one that, no matter what mood I'm in, i cannot stop listening to after i start. if I'm happy I'll gladly listen but if I'm angry or anxious I'll force myself to play it and it makes everything better. thank you for such an incredible story.

good story, abruptly ended

I enjoyed this book, so much more could have been added, but the author wanted this to be a trilogy. I would have preferred an unedited story... trilogies be damned
