About this listen

The goddess of war rides, heralded by storm furies

The oni have invaded Pittsburgh on Elfhome. And, so far, it looks like they are winning. All this is according to prophecy. But the prophecy is big on symbols and light on specifics. Tinker and her allies are doing the best they can to defend the city and the civilians caught in the crossfire of a war between elves that’s been brewing for centuries. But the enemy has no hesitation whatsoever in involving innocents. All the pieces in this deadly game are in place—and everyone trusts Tinker will save them. All she needs is a plan. And then the lights go out, and the storm begins to rage ...

Wonderful reading compensates for minor story editing errors.

Despite a couple places where the editor missed word choice errors the story continues the first class writing. Princeton True Flame is called Prince True blood in one instance and referred to as True Flame in all other places. Anthologist substitutes for anthropology in another instance (this happens once each in Harbinger and Storm Furies. The story deserves a 5 star rating for both the story itself and the reader’s voices.

When Spencer writes another GREAT book! Tanya Eby is a great narrator!

In Storm Furies, Wen Spencer takes all the characters and their stories and weaves them together fabulously!

hope there is another coming in this series

I really waited a long time for this book and Wood Sprites to come out and it was worth the wait. Now I can't wait for another! Thank you!

Another great story and another cliffhanger

Oh! What about Jane’s wedding? What about Boo and Lucien? What happens when Queen Soulful sees the Lemon/Lime shows? Or meets 11 baby dragons? Are the Oni on Earth? Oh this is an epic story and I want the next book and the one after that too. My only complaint is that Wen spends too much time on her other series and writes too slow.

Well, worth the wait!

If anyone has been a fan of the series for long, you know there is quite a wait between books. However, this one begins to take all of the pieces from all the other books and begin to weave them together into a hole where we begin to figure out where the story might be going. And as I stated, it was well worth the wait. Still looking forward to more books in the series, however, unlike any of the others, if we never get another book, this ends in such a way that there is satisfaction not a massive cliffhanger. That being said there’s still a lot left to explore and I am really looking forward to the next one.
