Publisher's summary

I thought I was destined for an early grave. Apparently, fate had other plans for me.

My name is Jake. After twenty-three years of life, all I have to my name is a dead-end job and an undiagnosed metabolic disorder that has the doctors baffled.

Everything changed on my birthday when I found a magical key that followed me home. It led me to the Halls of Magic, a multiversal repository of arcane knowledge that will allow me the chance to cure my broken body and unlock arcane power.

However, the Halls are long abandoned and overrun with man-eating monsters. Also, my Spellbook looks like it's straight out of a video game. When I turned to the Aspects of Magic for help, they broke free of their crystalline prisons and then moved in with me back on Earth. To say they have a lot to learn about being human is an understatement.

Welcome to the Halls of Magic. You never know just what you'll learn.

Great! Like I expected

One of these days Hawthorne may write a book that I don't like. But that day is DEFINITELY NOT today.
This is looking yo be an awesome series.
The Halls of Magic are basically the Library of Congress for the multiverse and it has been, basically destroyed.
But our ignorant MC with his harem and cat familiar has got to survive the monsters killing everyone.
Really looking forward to book 2.
I'm giving this book 8 out of 5 stars.

A great first book

2 fantastic authors unite to write this gem, Halls of magic is a great new harem series that is a solid read. I’m not big on Litrpg but the characters are cute and the central premise is great (Wizards for life!)

It was a fun new series can't wait for more

I like a sick Mc that gets to overcome their trauma and pains. The magic system is interesting and it has plenty of room to grow. The girls are funny and enjoyable to read about with plenty of outlandish moments that had me laughing out loud. The ending makes me want to know more and can't wait for book two.

oh yeah I need more

oh yeah this is the one I'm in love with the pace of the book and the narration is off the chain. Steamy with the right amount of action and very interesting through the whole book can't wait for the next one.

pretty good.

look, I like a fantasy as much as any other. this one could be better. I don't know how but it just feels like it's missing something. Maybe smoothing out the story left a few low spots? I'll keep an eye out for the rest as it's a good start. I like the premise and how the story is shaping up. I hope the irl and the labyrinth aspects feel a bit more complete.

World building.

The world building was intriguing and diverse. Can't wait for the second book to be released.

Not my favorite

The voice actors were a bit bland. Kind of made it difficult to connect. The idea is solid though just not my favorite from this author .
