Publisher's summary

A twenty-four-year-old woman trapped in a fantasy role-playing game continues her quest for a way out in this epic adventure for fans of Dungeons & Dragons.

Seven strangers have been snatched from their average lives on Earth and transported to another realm. Now they’re Champions in the Great Game—legendary heroes destined for a higher purpose that will change the world. Speaking of purpose, Kandis Hammond, a junior financial research analyst from Sydney, sure would like to figure out what hers is.

Kandis has a come a long way since her arrival in Latorra. She’s a level-four Phantasmal Artificer with high charisma and a team of fellow adventurers. Together, they set up a home base in the city of Talnier and hunt monsters to rack up experience points, wealth, supplies, and more. But Kandis can’t continue like this forever. She has some burning questions that require answers . . .

As a Champion, Kandis must determine which god brought her to Latorra so she may take up their cause. Not doing so could have dire consequences. There’s also the matter of what to do with her mysterious Dungeon core. And on top of everything, another Champion is about to show up in Talnier. The newcomer might be an ally, but when Kandis sees who else is riding in their party, her hopes will go up in smoke.

Lol A literal Social Justice Warrior!!!

Yep that is right folks, the MC uses a combination of social skills to fight corruption, injustice and inadequate banking in this book. That might sound silly to some, but watching her maneuver and shift this world with a well placed rumor and a bit of subterfuge is quite fascinating to witness. It is like watching the best of a good spy thriller and heist movie rolled into one glorious whole. There isn't a lot of martial action, mostly because that isn't really what Candace does best. She truely shines in the political and social arenas This really is the thinking man's Litrpg.
The only problems i had with it, were fairly minor. I really don't like when the MC doesn't get a description beyond HOT. it is a bit of a cop out in my opinion. also there is a bit of a lack of good transition from one scene to the next. It can give it a cramped feeling and make it hard to tell when one thing has ended and we are moving on. lol it actually needs some padding out, which is not something i ever thought i would be saying about a Litrpg.
Overall it is a great addition to this genre giving a whole new aspect to explore. Quite original thinking. Looking forward to the next one.

good book

I really don't like the minimum word count requirements for audible reviews. . . .

Excellent continuation

A great sequel to an excellent series. More political intrigue and clever illusionary tricks. The protagonist is patient and smart without seeming overpowered.

Excellent Continuation

Being a huge fan of stories where the characters have to use their heads, I was very pleased to see that trend continue in this book. There were several parts where plans came together under a perfect execution and it made my day. I will say that, like the first book, this one does end somewhat abruptly. However, the story promises much more for the future and I eagerly await what will happen.

I don't like the main character

I actually wish we could follow the other champions more basement more interesting. and the main character forces her beliefs on others and she goes to another one and she says yeah I want to do paperwork. the other champion she's just a lawful stupid paladin. but the cat girl seems really interesting.

Very Enjoyable

I went looking for a female protagonist and I was rewarded with this mana gem. Though the stats listing gets a bit tedious, I just ignored it and continued listening. Good job.

Fantastic Series

I almost bypassed this series. I am glad I did not. I adore the protagonist's mind. If one were to rate her abilities from a pure combat perspective, the rating would be rather low. However she is OP in other ways. She is sociable but also clever and cautious. I am glad to read and listen to a story about a character I can actually somewhat relate to. Thanks for a great story thus far. I anticipate the next in the series.

Loved It!!

A little repetitive in the very beginning of book 1 but gets really good throughout the rest of the series. Loved the reader too!!

Good series!

I love the intrigue angle of this Isekai. The main character is smart and sassy, and kind without letting herself be pushed into stuff she doesn’t care to do. Some of the rest of the characters in the main party feel a little 1 dimensional, but so far it hasn’t dampen my enjoyment of the story being told.
