I recommend skipping the first few chapters which tell us what AI is and why it’s important and get straight into the practical chapters which are pleasantly succinct, thoughtful, and practical.

Great after the introductory fluff chapters

This book provides a practical approach to incorporating AI into education. The exercises and ideas offered are relevant, the explanations of what AI is and how it works was spot on, and the book's organization made it easy to thumb through later. I will be recommending this book to all my peers in education- from instructors to students, to administrators.

Must read for anyone in education

I really like the overall coverage of all the different AI tools that are out there at the time of the writing. But was most helpful is actually been able to sit down and write some prompts and playing around with becoming a better prompt writer.

The other aspect of this book was some practical applications and ideas to bring AI into the classroom that helps challenge students how to use the tool and develop skills they can’t easily create with AI. I think it’s a different approach to teaching than we’ve been used to. And it’s not going away.

AI is here and we have to adapt. This is an excellent book to give teachers a reality check about how AI will affect education. It gives lots of practical advice for practicing with AI and how to integrate it into the classroom. This is a must read for any educator.

A Lot is At Stake

After reading I immediately began using AI for productivity like rubric design, research , and creating exemplars for studens. The technical stuff at the start is not for everyone .I think the explanatios are important and they served as analogies for past tech innovations that changed teaching .(Not written by AI) 😝

Great Start

Found the content helped me appreciate the value of writing (and teaching how to write) quality prompts. Found the examples overwhelming at times. Also have the hardcopy to take notes as I listened and will return to specific parts of textbook to review further whenI have more time to process.
