Publisher's summary

Once upon a time, a historical romance author created a family....

But not just any family. Eight brothers and sisters, assorted in-laws, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews (not to mention an overweight corgi), plus an irrepressible matriarch who's a match for any of them.... These are the Bridgertons: less a family than a force of nature. Through eight best-selling novels, listeners laughed, cried, and fell in love. But they wanted more.

And so the listeners asked the author...

What happens next? Does Simon ever read his father's letters? Do Francesca and Michael become parents? Who would win in a Pall Mall grudge match?

Does "The End" really have to be the end?

Now, with The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After, Julia Quinn delivers eight sexy, funny, and heartwarming "2nd Epilogues" plus a bonus story about none other than the wise and witty matriarch Violet Bridgerton herself. So get to know the Bridgertons all over again - because Happily Ever After is a whole lot of fun.

Entertaining

I found the entire series very entertaining. If you looking for something light and fun. You can’t go wrong with the Bridgerton Series. I plan to read more of Julia Quinn’s books.

Great wrap-up of the series

The stories were wonderful. I enjoyed them as usual and liked how the characters continued to unfold. The only gripe I have is the narrator. I didn't enjoy his performance nearly as well as from the other 2 in this series. Particularly, I didn't like how he gave Michael Sterling a Scottish accent. This was not portrayed by the previous narrator in When He Was Wicked.

I sincerely do not like the Narrator.

He does not give a good enough emphasis to the story and or characters. Roselyn Landor was a way way better choice! I wish she could have been kept for this one as well… hard to listen to him. Had to stop in the first 10 minutes. I love these stories and I am so very happy that after years of being a devoted Fan that I can see them unfold onto the TV screen. However this Narrator doesn’t capture the essence of the characters and or stories.

I wish Roslyn narrated it

This was awful , the narrator was wrong for this story .. why didn’t they have Roslyn narrate this book like the other Bridgerton books..

Struggled

I looked forward to listening but the narrator choice of voices was disappointing especially for Dowager Violet Bridgerton. Julia describes her as young for her age but his voice makes her seem old and decrepit.

Variation of characters a bit off…

The Bridgerton stories are a lot of fun and second epilogues are as well - and that’s coming from someone who prefers the horror genre over romance, (relationships are far scarier than ghosts and zombies). For the most part, this audiobook is decent. As a voice actor myself, I get having different voices for all the characters, but, the most distracting for me is the variation assigned to Colin Bridgerton, who in this reading sounds more like a much older gentleman that is quite possibly possessed by a demon.

Narrator

after listening to the entire series read by a woman it was strange to hear my favorite characters read by a man. I did appreciate that he gave Michael a Scottish accent, however. I don't think he did a bad job It was just strange to have the final book of a several book series read in a different voice.

Good narrator and final wrap up

Ch 9 did not go the way I expected. I preferred the other female narrator. These epilogues did make the story make more sense for the most part.

Finally the story of Violet

If you have been listening to all the other books then this is a recap of the prologue on each of the children. The ending though is finally the story of Violet! At first I missed the narrator from the first 8 books, but this narrator did a wonderful job too.
