About this listen

The end of an affair may be only the beginning....

Over the course of one tumultuous Christmas Eve, Kathy Walker confirmed her suspicions about her husband's affair, confronted his mistress, Stephanie, and saved her marriage. She and Robert have 18 years, two teenagers, and a film production business between them - plus a bond that Kathy has no intention of giving up on. Yet though Robert is contrite, Kathy can't quite silence her doubts.

While Robert reels from his wife's ultimatum and his mistress's rejection, Stephanie makes a discovery: she's pregnant. Her resolve to stay away from Robert wavers now that they could make a real family together. And in the days that follow, Stephanie, Robert, and Kathy must each reckon with the intricate realities of desire, the repercussions of betrayal, and the secrets that, once revealed, ripple through lives and relationships in thoroughly unexpected ways.

There is a book prior to this - its the details the affair. Read that so you get a better overall sense of the story. Yes,the story is told three different times by three different people, but it’s different. Some people are complaining about that but you’re getting the perspective from three different people so it’s interesting. Having been involved in something like this,I can say a lot of this is true and hits very close to home. Clearly, the author has experience in this matter. I highly recommend.

Read the first one as well

My favorite part was how it all ended! I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else. The Performance was great too!

Loved these books!

This is the second book and I really liked the ending. Wrapped up like a bow. I gave 4 stars for the story because as interesting as it is to hear from the different characters and their perspectives, it’s a bit repetitive when exact conversations are repeated. I still enjoyed listening to the story

Good ending

This (Part II) story was ok - with the exception of the repetitiveness. I understand that it was from different perspectives; however, people’s perspectives are usually quite different. Then again, I usually miss half of a story by multi-tasking, so perhaps all my listens should be in this style?

The ending is not what this Bostonian expected.

Nope.

Never.

Laugh. Out. Loud.

Wait…I heard this chapter already

I liked the ending very much! Very good decisions made all around regarding the great consideration of the new conceived baby, the two teenagers, and all parties involved. Honesty is the best policy. Thanks!

The two women’s similar physical appearances.

I didn’t need more but it was an entertaining diversion. Reader did quite well. Thank you!

Decent story. Nothing “new” but well written.

Kept thinking I accidentally hit rewind. The story read two to three times for a different perspective. I found not enough of a difference in perspective so, it was just on repeat in my opinion. I was bored and didn’t like the story because of it.

Redundant
