Publisher's summary

After narrowly surviving an invasion of her dungeon by some seriously dangerous Elves, Sandra needs to recover from having all of her defending constructs destroyed in the process. With the bulk of her forces lost while shattering the Core of a Reptile Classification dungeon, the merchant-turned-Dungeon Core is feeling a little vulnerable.

Luckily, she has Violet, a Gnome Apprentice Enchanter, to help her get things back to normal. With Felbar, another Gnome that has decades of experience culling Dungeon Monsters, and Echo, an Elf that mistakenly got tangled up with Sandra and her dungeon, now awake from their Visitor Bond-induced comas, she can finally work on improving her relationship with the Gnomes and Elves by providing them with much-needed supplies.

Unfortunately, during her time of recovery and looking into crafting new things with her recent access to Enchanting, she neglected to keep an eye on the dungeons around her Area of Influence. With the Gnomes no longer there to cull the Undead Classification dungeon near their destroyed village, Sandra scrambles to get ahead of its rapid expansion – and potential threat to the Dwarves to the north.

But even if she manages to destroy the Undead Classification Core, should she stop there? Now that is quite the dilemma….

This Dungeon Core story contains LitRPG/GameLit elements such as statistics and leveling and a heavy crafting emphasis. No profanity and no harems.

Unique, clean, frustrating naivete.

The MC can be quite frustrating with her naivete in regards to combat and politics. Completely understandable considering her circumstances but wow. I wanted to pull my hair out. Still great book. I would kill for a computer game of this!

voice n logic faults

for someone who is purported to have a vast wealth of knowledge on nearly all types of crafting, the monotonous repetition of lists and nearly infantile understanding of her abilities and options is crippling to my ability to follow the story without wanting to scream at Sandra for her choices as well as the soft edged enunciation of the narration being difficult to understand at times. like she is trying to sound soft/breathy all the time which flattens intonation and performance.

Great Series

I love the concept of a crafting Dungeon and Jonathan really brings it to life it a great way. I look forward to Book 4.

Excellent book.

I would recommend this fantasy series as it definitely is a new venue presenting the development and life of a dungeon.

Enjoyable!

I really like this series! It is definitely a nice continuation from Book 2. The characters are like able especially the MC. However, I wish they have more back story and would go through more personal development so we can have more investments. So far, it’s mainly the MC that grows and levels up more obviously.

As for the recording, the only complaint I have is the weird voice change when the dwarf character was talking. It was like a different narrator was used altogether. It was like the pitch was off?

Hopefully book 4 comes out soon!

A very interesting turn for the series

Book received for free.

This is an interesting turn for this series as it basically makes everything that our little core will have to do in the future so so much harder. We meet new characters who will play pivotal roles in the future of the world and the dungeon itself. We see a ripple of consequences from our core's previous choices appear and cause a change to the already unstable situation in the wasteland that tips the scales and causes a change that no one is prepared for.

Great series so far!

I so far have really liked this series. This book was a good addition to it. There are a ton of moments though where I do wish the MC would learn to become more creative with her extensive knowledge of crafting in order to overcome the challenges. MC was able to craft some items for her constructs but it seemed to really not have any true benefit to them because they can be defeated just as quickly as before. I think this can be attributed to the fact that she’s never actually put any of it into practice so she needs to learn how to do all of that first. I hope that she does get better and I very much look forward to the next books!
