It's humans against monsters in a high-octane race for survival in the second installment of this apocalyptic pedal-to-the-metal LitRPG adventure.

Ever since the System brought magic and monstrous mayhem to Earth, long-haul trucker Jill "Junkmouth" MacLeod has had a need for speed. The highway snaking through the Midwestern plains is the battleground, and the stakes are the lives of not only Jill but thousands of survivors along for the ride. Together with Bertha, her mega-upgraded, fully-turreted, heavily-armored Soulbound big rig, Jill has the edge—so far.

The good news? For every blood-hungry abomination Jill has flattened into roadkill, she's gained experience, levels, and loot to upgrade Bertha. The bad? It's still a long and dangerous road to the East Coast, where her family is waiting for her. She just has to keep the pedal pressed down as they blaze their way through hordes of ever-stronger monsters and across a Midwest that is far bigger—and wilder—than it should be.

But if Jill thought the fallen city of Billings behind them had been bad, the road east is even worse. Outside of Bertha, the magic keeps growing more powerful, making everything—even the plants—deadlier and smarter. And inside, a darkness is taking root among the passengers, including those Jill counts on the most. Now Jill herself, so used to taking on the open road alone, will have to learn to lead—and maybe swear less. Maybe.

The second volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 500,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

While I'm a big fan of rpglit, I'm pretty picky and somewhat difficult to please. This book, though, is AWESOME. It has a completely unconventional plot: a soul bound big rig in a system universe with a strong, brave, and compassionate female lead with a major case of pottymouth; lovable characters with great character progression; and an awesome sense of humor. Seriously, I've lost count of the number of times I've laughed out loud while listening to this book.

As far as I can tell this is a brand new author. I really hope that he continues to write and develop this series and that more people discover it so that he knows that his hard work is appreciated.

I will warn, you, though. Remember when I said that the mc has major potty mouth? Well, that was a bit of an understatement. As in, this lady could put an entire platoon of Marines to shame. I and many others find it hilarious, but if you're someone who's easily offended, then you might want to skip this one. Just don't go listening to it and come back here to leave a nasty review because of the language. It's a plot point, and it's not fair to the author. You have been warned.

Sorry, I almost forgot: the narration is awesome and I can't imagine a better fit!

Hilarious & Unconventional. I Love It!

I love this series and I can’t wait for the next! It is a great take on the LitRPG series with a great and rational MC. Love it, and I need the next one.

Great LitRPG that is Fresh and Fun

2nd book in the series, progression is expected and surprisingly entertaining. I will admit some of the 'ad libbed ' profanity is eye rolling material but now and again she gets a funny one in there.
As always the question is, will I buy the next book in the series? Yes, yes I will.

The battle trucker series is great just different enough to feel exciting. Jill’s colorful use of language is always appreciated. The series has a great deal of heart. I recommend the series to anyone

Where can I get a BERTHA

The first ~2hrs of this should have been the end of the last, or spread out with some action. Lots of base planning, skill descriptions, etc just wasn't a strong start. It did ramp up eventually, but felt like a lot more exposition than the first. It got pretty fun! I'm still learning new swears so that's entertaining. I like the reality warping that starts to occur.

I have trouble with the time scope in this series. It seems like the entire first book spanned about two days, but so much has occurred and Jill is already level 80+. :/ It feels like far more time has passed, and wouldn't have hurt to call it a week or even a month. It also bothers me a bit that "corruption" is obviously an emerging element but seems totally ignored but everyone until it's literally knocking down their door.

I hope in the next one there is more community cohesion and the tired entitlements of random members goes away. I think this is related to that time span aspect -- it should by now be very clear to everyone that they are in a new world and things won't go back to normal, that Jill is doing them a favor by having them onboard, and that they need to contribute.

Fun, but not so much as the first!

This was a fun story that I enjoyed even more than the first book. Characters are likable and the ending is good.

This has been one of the most fun convoys ever. I could feel my old pete enjoying the story just as much as I did. I am looking forward to next stretch of blacktop together. Felt like I was riding with the legendary Rubber Duck. One thrill ride after the next. I can’t recommend this book enough.
