About this listen
Have you ever found yourself so nervous you couldn’t be your best self in a job interview? Maybe you have gone in and found yourself unprepared for the questions, or you rushed your preparation and were unable to dress as well as you should. Issues like these can undermine your success because it is simply not enough to have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the job successfully. If you fail to communicate your qualifications to the interviewer, the opportunity will slip through your fingers.
With more than 20 years of recruiting experience, Jennifer Tardy has interviewed thousands of job seekers, and she brings this vital expertise to The Essential Guide to the Perfect Interview. In 12 lectures, Jenn will introduce you to her Level 10 Mindset Interviewing (LTMI) Model and take you through each of its steps. As you will see, preparing for a successful interview means preparing on the inside and outside—both on an emotional and tactical level. While the entire interview process can be highly subjective and contingent on some unpredictable factors, interview performance is crucial to landing the job or promotion you want. With her LTMI Model, Jenn will show you exactly what to do before, during, and after your interview so you can not only prove your knowledge, skills, and abilities, but also have an amazing interview performance.
Throughout this course, Jenn will teach you the unwritten rules of the interview process, show you how to acknowledge—and demonstrate—your own value, and illustrate the crucial importance of being present. With her interview model and these tools at your disposal, you will be ready to present yourself in the best light possible and set yourself up for success.

A good interview prep book.
Merit, excellence & intelligence should replace the DEI that was touched on in the book. A lot of great suggestions for preparing for an interview and follow up. Definitely worth the read time, you will get some good tips that should help.

Helpful for early careers
A helpful book for early career people/college students, perhaps not so helpful for those already down the road. Certain repetitions can be annoying but the information expressed is quite useful for those looking for their first jobs.

This Will Help You Find Your Self Esteem
I enjoy reading books on how to negotiate whether it be for a promotion, a new job, or just something you want. Tardy puts the important interview in a good context. It’s mostly about positive attitude and solid preparation. Perhaps more importantly, it’s also about recognizing your own value, which is something I think everyone could benefit from.

Wow! How I wish I took this lecture immediately I left university!
Unfortunately, colleges and universities never prepare us for real challenges. A course like this one is a must for every college and university graduate. I feel like universities and colleges do not prepare their graduates effectively enough to survive in the corporate jungle. They prepare graduates for the corporate jungle similar to teaching a soldier how the weapons work with teaching him/her how to effectively use them at the battlefield.
