Henry H. Neff
When Henry H. Neff published the second book of his Tapestry series, Kirkus Reviews proclaimed that “young readers will clamor for more.” With The Fiend and the Forge, Neff unveils his most riveting adventure yet. Astaroth has claimed the Book of Origins, and the world is thick with goblins and trolls. The land needs a hero, so Max McDaniels sets out from the relatively safe confines of Rowan into the nightmare landscape beyond—but whether he fulfills his destiny or falls to the blight plaguing mankind is far from certain.

The greatest series ever

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this to a friend (after they had finished the first two of the series, of course), because the series is well constructed and a fascinating story, and I think that this book is the jewel of that success.Who was your favorite character and why?
Max - the main character - would have to be my favorite. This is a story that is focused on him and what he learns while braving a world that is everything that he has worked against for so long. Every character brings an important element to that story, but it is still entirely his. What does Jeff Woodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A wide range of voices (hags, demons, professors, spies, mothers, etc), really lets you fall into the story. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes.Any additional comments?
The humor is understated and the story is strong.Severely Underrated Series
