Publisher's summary

Crimebusting duo DI Jackman and DS Evans are back, solving another crime that will make your skin crawl.

Police detective Carter McLean is the only survivor of a plane crash that kills his four best friends. He returns to work, but he is left full of guilt and terrible flashbacks. So for each of his four friends, he decides to complete something that they left unfinished.

Eighteen months before the crash, Suzanne Holland disappeared, leaving a room with traces of blood but no other leads. Suzanne was the wife of one of Carter’s four best friends. Adding to the pressure, the boss’ niece has a stalker. Due to the sensitivity of the Holland case, Carter is put on this investigation.

DS Marie Evans is the only person Carter can confide in. But even she begins to doubt whether he can really cope and whether he is actually losing his mind. DI Jackman and DS Evans of the Fenland police face a battle to untangle three mysteries, and can they really believe their friend and colleague Carter?

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!!!

As usual Joy Ellis does not disappoint!
The characters are so very real, within minutes you are transported into their world, you feel their pain, live their fears.
As for the narrator, absolutely brilliant!....thank you Mr Armitage, thank you!

Love this series

This book was a little too short but I really enjoyed listening. The ending was a surprise and I would never have guessed. The narrator is very good and does each character so uniquely that I can see each one.

Keeps you guessing!

This one had me guessing "who done it" until the end. Love Richard Armitage's voice and it is easy to tell when he switches characters.

Great series

Another unique story in this series. Perfect performance and interesting characters. Can’t believe these are in the “included” section when I’ve gotten much less quality for a credit!

Good

I loved the story. I just do not like the f word and wonder why authors feel they have to use it.

How Far Will Friendship Go

This is the best Jackman/Evans book yet and they have all been incredible. I was captivated from the very first and could not stop listening even though my heart grew heavier as the story unfolded. Carter McLean is carrying a huge burden in this installment of the series and it turns out the true burden isn't what you expect. What are you willing do for your friends? Even if it leads into a darkness from which you may not return? As always, Richard Armitage draws you in to the power of the story with his masterful use of voice and dialects. I most certainly hope there is more to come from both Ms Ellis and Mr. Armitage.

My favourite in the series so far...

I listened to the first two books in the series and was constantly frustrated that the detectives, who were meant to be the best in their field, were missing such blatant clues and should have solved the mystery much quicker... this storyline was more plausible and although I foresaw the end it was much closer to the plot reveal...
